LOL yes it's glass, light green & white. I wouldn't use it to through garbage in, then people would see it.

I would try to sell them on ebay..some people will buy ANYTHING...

And i went home and I was looking in my closet and I totally forget about the Mikasa crystal handles, (Cake server, knife and Lazanga server)... they are nive just not my style at all....
I actaully registered for some silver ones....I guess people just give gifts in their own style....


ANd the best gift I got that i did not register for was a HUGE Pasta bowl wiht 4 matching bowls... I use this all the time...

Good idea about the swapping ! I say we all list things we dont want, and look through everyone else's list and TRADE AWAY. ! Shamma, can I bring the YELLOW box stuff and put it in plastic bags ??

the moms group i belong to, did a SWAP of new xmas gifts that their kids received (and didnt need or already had), and it worked out wonderfully !

I have to say, since this thread pokes fun at buying OFF the registry, sometimes I choose to buy OFF the registry if I know the person and can pick a thoughtful gift that theyd like (cant give examples because my good friend may read this and her wedding/shower is this year !)

stef- about ebay - I usually look up something similiar (or if lucky enough the same item) to see how much it is selling for. thats a good way to judge if it will sell. I havent listed my $100 lenox frames because they really arent going for more than $40 but it really depends on the design, you never know. one can go for $40 and another for $80...

Becky - I was laughing at the things your mom gets that you wear for her. AWE.. I would do that for anyone but my immediate family. we are too damm blunt to eachother. I can easily go 'yuck, ya got the receipt ?' to anyone of them (my siblings or parents) without a problem (and NO Allure, we dont appear ungratefeul to eachother !) We laugh of off, say 'youre a pain in my a$$, shop for yourself from now on!' and we actually wait to see eachothers expressions when we get eachother gifts and then die of laughter when the YUCK face comes on !! (now THATS LOVE !!!) of course me and my TWIN never make a mistake with eachothers, its like shopping for myself !

jennbaby-im laughing at the thought of you sitting at your shower, opening a 'smile and say thank you' gift, and thinking 'wait till the girls at LIW hear about THIS ONE !!' (and then making sure your BM gets a GOOD shot of it with the digital !!! I wonder if the LEnox store at the outlets would take any of this junk back ?? I was returning some extra favors I had from my wedding (we're talking over 20 extra, no thanks !) at Mikasa, and I decided to throw in my collection of 'Shower favors' collected and sitting in the closet, well I got store credit for them ! It was like $70 in store credit just for those shower favors !) any for my own I had my receipt

Ya know what?? I will definately be thinking of all of you when I open a gift I do not want!!

As for my sweater, I did take it to the cleaners once & they couldn't even get the stains out so what are they??????And how long have they been there?!
