Hhahahha....I have the ring holder too!!!

And the kicker? It was given to me by someone who I had just told a few days before that I NEVER TAKE OFF MY RING!! EVER! So why would I need a crystal ring holder?

Since we moves a year ago it is still in the moving boxes with all the stuff from my dresser....That was my hanakah gift the year we got engaged with the lightup jewish thing....that is my DH aunt.. always buying the worst girts!!!

Someone bought me inscence. I never burn insence. I threw it out.
I've also gotten tops for Christmas from people with no tags in a size XS. Uh hello, I'm 5'9. I haven't worn a small probably since I was like 7 years old. I don't even know if it would fit my old teddy bear.

I had to stop reading this to jump here in and defend Jennbaby, the original poster. I am sure that Jenn is excited about her shower and thinking about what she might get, but she is not the kind of person who would sit around and worry about what she might NOT get. Obviouosly you don't know her at all, so you should not be making that judgement.

Allure, I completely empathize with coming from, shall we say a less then priviledged background. However, I do not wear my background like a chip on my shoulder and I certainly don't wield it like a sword.

Laughing about a gift that you did not like does not mean that you are ungrateful. My dear mother, whom I love with all my heart, has been buying me awful presents for my whole life. I thank her and I wear the ugly clothes once so she sees me in them, and then I donate them, etc. You best believe I laugh with my siblings over this, but I am by no means an ingrate. While my wedding has not arrived yet, I shudder to think what she will buy me for my shower. Please stop putting your issues on us.

My worst gift - From (you guessed it) my mother! After we got engaged my mom decided to buy FH and I some household 'essentials.' One of those things was gold plated silverware. SILVERware, but gold. I don't even wear gold jewelry. Why she thought I would want GOLDware, I will never know. I hope she doesn't notice that I registered for silverware

Anyone want gold utencils?
