Why all the frames...I forgot to add someone gave us a pink something, that is the best way I can put it, expensive as all get out, but where do I put it and what should I match it with. The funny thing is all the frames that we got I have not used any of them yet, b/c all the frames I like are usually wooden. What to do. I never get it, someone who does not know what my home look like would go out to the store that I am registered and buy something NOT on the registry...it makes me wonder

i think I lucked out with the frames...didn't get any!!!

what I did get - what I didn't register for - which I think is very thoughtless and pretty rude - and I have no problem tlling all of you about - was an embroidered/cross-stich with a biblical verse on...

HELLO...We are atheists!! (the guest knew this) so I broke into it and snipped out the biblical part...but would you give this to someone who was Jewish or Muslim? why do I get it?


we also got angel towels...same vent from above...


I was surprised with some beautiful THOUGHTFUL gifts not on my registry...that i am extremely GRATEFUL for...

If we are ungrateful...what do you call people who are concerned with the quality of their e-ring...and not the meaning behind it?

Yabbobay, I thought the same thing when I went over to the BHB and saw that Allure started the thread about e-ring quality and what is the best! Too funny! Some people only see what they want to!

no jenn...we were just accused of being ungrateful b/c we got gifts that we didn't want...

yet the accuser started a thread about the quality of diamonds...

please...I love the size, cut, color of my diamond...

I am greatful for all gifts even the popcorn ring that I am wearing There is just something about these bad choices in these wedding presents that I can't get over I am sure you do not know me outside of what I type so you do not know what I would or would not appreciate, but since I am having fun with this thread, I will not let you spoil it for me.

Anybody else got any BAD gifts to share with us

My curiosity was peaked by Yabbo's post, and I just read the diamond thread, and COULDN'T believe that someone who called US greedy started it.
I'd like to chime in that MY diamond was given to me by the man I love, as the words he planned to say were forgotten, and he looked at me tongue tied, with tears in his eyes, and in the exact spot where we met, asked me to be his wife, and share our lives together forever.
WE know the particulars of my ring, but do any of YOU really care??
After the magic moment I experienced above, I don't care either.

Well... I'll stick to the gift part of this thread :
Two of the best things: a cross stitch mad by my MIL! Goofy holding a sign that says 'Vals kitchen'

And all sorts of holiday (easter, xmas, valentines day ect....) baking things... cookie cutter, cookie sheets, cooling racks! It was the extras added that made this a great gift!! I had chossen the bakeware for my registry.. but the other stuff was great!! She must have collected it for the whole year before the shower!!

Margarita glasses were also something I liked & didn't ask for though!!

Worst: well I guess I have to jump on the frame bandwagon!! So many, it drove me crazy!
And so many wine glasses!!

I came home all excited to take a pix of the pink thing, guess what, hubby has the laptop and he has the memory card for the digital in there So we will have to wait upon his return to share this thing But I will be back...I promise.

So what if i started a diamond thread.You mean to tell me you ladies never checked on the clarity or color of your diamonds.Lets be for real if you know enough to register at Fortunoffs or macy's then lets be safe & say that you have good taste&high expectations,which is fine.I think you should all revert back to the DIAMOND thread and see how many of you answered it or even read it I am glad i intrigued you ladies enough to follow what threads i started this is really getting ridiculous but i will keep responding to all the negative feedback.I stand by what i believe in
