Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread
ok ladies.. I posted pics from my makeup trial with Ginni.. I dont usually wear alot of makeup so this to me was perfect! Are any of you having bridesmaids? I am.. my cousins.. NINE of them! AHH!! I def wanted 4 that im very close to.. but im being forced to add on the other 5. Why dont parents understand.. Just cuz they are related doesn't make them bridesmaid material! --- Argg.. now I have to look for matching saris for 9. I also wanted to find coordinated reception outfits.. looks like thats not gonna happen...

hey girls...i have a small problem. My DJ was/is DJ kucha. Not sure yet because he hasnt RETURNED ANY OF MY CALLS OR EMAILS IN THE PAST WEEK!!! The only reason we wanted to go with him is because he was in our price range (900) and we knew he was good.
Who is your DJ and could you also tell me the price range. We are on a strict budget!!!
thanks!

Hey Ladies,
Who are you using for hair and makeup?
i used this girl Erica Lynn, she was recommended by my photography. She comes to you and she did an amazing job on my make up. she did my sister and mom too. She was worth the money. I went with someone american cause i didnt want that indian look.
I'm using Kacey from Khouloud's....she's a vendor on here. I don't wear make up at all and didn't want an indian look. She's going to come to me on the day of, do my hair and make up and both my sisters' hair. She's a sweetheart....charges $50 for each, hair & make up. FM me if you have any questions.

How was apartment hunting? Where are you guys looking?
FH & I saw soo many crappy apartments asking for a fortune!, before we found one that's decent and affordable.
Awww, getting your marriage license feels soo good...just makes it feel soo real...because even if you have everything else arranged, you can't get married without the license.....so if you can, celebrate that with your FH.
FH & I went to dinner...just spent some quiet time with each other after we got our license.

We're booked with FM entertainment (vendor on here, i think). And it's 2k+, but includes a lot of extras.
1 person as both the DJ & MC, 4hr reception, is $795.
2 different people (1mc and 1dj), 4hr reception is $1095.
We're having primarily american music, but they should be able to play whatever you want if you give them the music. Also, I think they mentioned they have a DJ that knows a lot about indian music. FM me if you have any questions. They have showcases a lot, it's worth checking them out. And if you're looking for a very basic package, they're in your price range.
