Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread

whoever is doing your make up should be able to help you with your dress and jewelry so you might want to check with them unless they are american and don't really know how to but then check with your local indian salons.

Im actually having my dinner set up late as well. We have the hall the entire day. the ceremony is in one room and then reception is in another. cocktails are set up at 8:00 PM till 9:30PM. then we make our entrance, dance a bit and then dinner will be set up at 11PM and then dessert at 12:30 and doli will start leaving around 1ish.

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread

see thats exactly how i planned my wedding timeline before...and now its going to be changed..i see FH point also...having dinner so late is usually the reason why ppl leave right after!! lol i feel if its earlier ppl wont leave right away bc the cake cutting will be after and then the first dance. and then that will bring people into dancing the night away...im hoping

it's probably just stress...i've been breaking out for the past few months...and i never usually do!

just keep up with your skin care and maybe get a good facial soon (don't wait too long....my last facial made my skin really dry and gross for a few days and now its gorgeous again, haha)

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread

ugh, i haven't had time to move stuff into the apt yet. we just got our furniture all in on friday and the mattress for our bed is coming in today and we got renters insurance...so i think now, when i have some time, i'll be moving stuff in slowly.

I'll probably pack an overnight bag for the night of the wedding and the next day we're staying at my parents house and then after that we're leaving for the hm and i'm off for a couple of days. so i think i'll just move my clothes and stuff after the hm....but id like to get the place set up with the dishes and bedding, etc, before that.

and no, haven't started hm packing. are you guys checking luggage? I think i have to, but im scared that the airlines is going to lose it or something and i'll end up with no clothes!

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread

Did you double check with your hall to see if they think it'll be too small? From my experience with seeing a ton of halls, they were pretty up front about how much they could fit. Maybe try to see if they have a party coming up and you can see how the tables are set up....that'll help you see if it'll be too small or not.

We're having a little over 500ppl at Villa Lombardi's in Holbrook (suffolk county).

East Wind, the Hilton, Terrace on the Park - they can all accomodate that #

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread
