Did i read that the bridal suite was re-done?? IF so were both suites re-done? Does anyone know? THanks for the update!

I know the bridal suite for the skylight room was redone because my BM gave us a tour of it when we were last there. I don't know about the other one.

But did you hear? They added the Wine and Cheese room downstairs for guests that arrive earlier than the CH. It's gonna be beautiful!!!

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

I just got the call on Tuesday......our Maitre'd called us to come in for our final arrangements. Turns out Linda will be our Maitre'd.

So either today (Friday) or Monday we will be going over the final arrangements. Makes me want to hurl big time. I can't believe we have little more than 2 weeks left to go.

Any questions for me to ask when I go??

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

I know I already asked this question, but who is decorating the chuppa at JT for you? My in-Laws are Jewish, so they said we need to stand under the chuppa for the ceremony. I think they're so pretty when they're done up with flowers & the canopy. Has anyone used Flower Michele for the chuppa? Thanks!

I had told FH if we use the chuppah (which we are) then we need it decorated with flowers. However the chuppah flowers alone would be very expensive, and we had not budgeted for it at all. So we will leave it as it is, just some pillars and a stand.

I know they use your CPs in the ceremony to use on top of pillars placed down the aisle. I finally will have normal enough looking CPs to accomplish this at least!!!

For the cocktail hour we are in the garden room, and our reception is in the dome room

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

Speaking of Maitre D's...

What are you guys planning on tipping yours? Some people have said $1-3 per person, others have said $3-5

I am kind of at a loss here for what is standard, and a $600-$1000 tip (for 200 people) seems a little ridiculous to me...

I had Jose. He was decent, but my two wonderful bridal attendants really outshined him!

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

Had our final arrangements done today!!!!! We dropped everything off already, I can't believe it!!

Linda was totally cool and I can already see she will keep us moving on our wedding day so that we get everything done that we need to!!!

We are still debating between the Penthouse & the Oak Room for the ceremony for a few reasons.

1. There will be a party going on in the Dome Room next door to the Penthouse while our ceremony is going on. Therefore noise might be an issue, but they said they will work it out with the other party.
2. FH wants the Penthouse. I do too but the noise factor bothers me. I really didn't want to have the ceremony & the reception in the same room, but set up might be a lot easier.

Augh!!! Decisions, decisions!!!

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

Does anyone have information about menus? Does Jericho Terrace provide them if we want? Do you know what they look like? Do you have to wait until the last meeting the confirm the menu if you want to make your own? TIA!

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

Hey girls! I don't know if this has been asked before on this thread, but are you girls making bathroom baskets? I heard that the bathroom attendants supply them, but are you making your own, or just using theirs?

Thanks!

P.S. Yay for all the JT brides this weekend!!

I am not planning to make the baskets. I already have so much I am doing for the guests, I don't think this one is a big priority for me.

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

UPDATE:

We are using the Oak Room for our ceremony and reception. I had Leslie do a 'sound check' this past Sunday since the set up was exactly the same way it will be on our day (parties in the Dome Room & Skylight Room, Penthouse & Oak Room empty). Her DH told me you can't compare the 2 sound level wise. They said you could hear the music from both the Dome Room and the Skylight Room in the Penthouse. Not what I wanted for my ceremony. They told me the Oak Room was 90% quieter than the Penthouse under the conditions.

So as much as I didn't want to do it, our ceremony & reception is in the same room.

I can't believe I have 3 days left. We're finishing up the slipper basket right now and I'm dropping off the last things to JT tomorrow since we had to rearrange our seating arrangements.
