Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

Does anyone know about or have had the 'upgraded cocktail hour' if you use 4 of their recommended vendors... Is it worth it?

If you use 4 of their vendors you can choose:

-Additional Ice Sculpture for CH

-Caviar Station for CH

-Additional Carving from Additional Selections menu

-Three Sushi Display for CH

-One bottle of Moet Champagne for & table and parents table

Essentially if you book 4 of their recommended vendors you can choose to add one of the above. Major vendors (photo, video, flowers, etc) count as one. Minor vendors (invites, makeup, dresses, etc) count and 1/2. Any combination to make up 4 is how you get it. At least this is how it was explained to me last year by Gina, the JT Coordinator.

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

How much money can you save per person by only having 3 menu choices? This was never offered to me

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

I don't think we were offered the Deluxe menu. We are doing a day wedding, maybe that makes a difference?

How much is everyone paying pp (or paid) if you don't mind telling us?

We have sat. 10/7 between 11-4:30 for $70 pp.

Thanks.

I did this, and we saved about $4pp.

We have the deluxe menu, but we took 3 things out of the CH (saved $3 pp) and took out 3 of the entree choices, which leaves us with 4 options (chicken, meat, fish & vegetarian).

We were given the option of both menus, but was told the deluxe menu had a lot more options. I'm actually contemplating downgrading because right now we will only have about 75-80 people!!

We have Anthony. Not sure what decorations we're adding, if any, since we're on a tight budget, and any extra flowers that would go on it would be costly right now.

WAIT A MINUTE!!! Rob never told me about the 'wedding menu', I was never given an option. What the f***? I'm going there tomorrow to make my 2nd to last payment and I'm going to mention this to Rob. Then I'm going to tell him that I EXPECT the chair covers on my wedding day or he's going to have a VERY unhappy bride on his hands!!!

I too was initially only given the Deluxe (7 choice) menu, not told it was that, but made it seem as though that was their only option. It wasn't until FH and I were there to negotiate that we were given the Wedding Menu (3 choice). Personally, I think there is SO much food there, what's a few more entree options. My concern was that Prime Rib was an option, which it is on both menus.

I was never given the other option either! We were basically just given the 'set' price for the deluxe menu, and Rob didn't negotiate at all...I'm a little irritated about that..Seriously, who is going to order the duck?? C'mon.

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

For those upset about the menus, don't be!! We would have had the Deluxe if we could have afforded it. The choices on the 'Wedding' are beef (Prime Rib or NY Sirloin steak), chicken and fish. No shrimp, no filet mignon, no 7 courses. You guys are fine!!

Yes, they do have tastings. The day we signed our contract, I called teo days before and asked to have a tasting at the same time. We had appetizers including, fried cauliflower and tomatos w/ frech mozzarella; each a bowl of pasta and then dessert...creme brule...which is TO DIE FOR!!!

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!

I am feeling a little wronged here. I just called my BM and asked him for a food tasting and they told me that if I wanted one I should just come to the Bridal showcase on wednesday. When I told him that my parents couldn't come on wednesday, he told me he would let me know when the next bridal showcase was.

Please give me a rundown of what you did with Jericho Terrace from signing the contract to your wedding.
