Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
Claire...
I KNOW Anna is so pushy. We had our meeting with her and I felt the same way. She suggested different chafing dishes if the ones we picked were too similar, but she was very pushy about it. When I showed a pic of the cake I wanted she basically said that when they get you in to book JT, they tell you 'sure, I can do that for you,' but what they don't tell you is that they do it for a price. So I went to Dortoni directly and got the cake I wanted. She kept cutting me off too, and had that car salesman air. But FH said that it is good to have someone that is No nonense so that things go right. BUT, if Anna isn't listening to your wishes then that isn't good. Honestly, call her back and state your concerns. I had to call Anna and work some things out over the phone since I'm OOT too. You need to have the wedding YOU want.

Thanks so much! I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one. I made a list of all the 'unresolved issues' from the meeting, and I was going to call Rob to talk to him about it. I guess I will try calling Anna first.
Thanks again...I feel a little better...

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
I met with Anna last week and yes, she is a bit used car salesman-ish but i kind of appreciated when she pointed out that some of my dishes were very similar and that I should switch them up to give the guests more variety. She actually threw in the fried calamari for us! To each his own...If you're not happy, definitely say something to someone. Rob is my BM too and when I told Anna that I wasn't gonna meet my minimum and that I wanted to 'work something out', she said to tell my maitre'd at our final meeting what i want and then he would have to get approval from Rob. I informed her that Rob was my BM and she said 'oh, then don't worry about it'. I plan on calling Rob the day before my final appt and telling him what I plan to 'add on' so he has a heads up. Rob, thus far, has been very accomodating! when i had the problem with the Church putting down the wrong ceremony time (they had me down for a 5pm mass instead of 6pm as originally discussed) I called Rob and told him what had happened. He said 'dont freak out, i'll fix this!' he put me on hold for a few minutes, came back on and said 'you always wanted the 7:30 start time instead of the 8:30 so we'll do it for you so that your guests aren't wandering aimlessly for an hour!' then he said 'i dont want you to have any stress, there are no problems only solutions!' I love Rob!
If you want, call Rob directly and voice your concerns. I'm sure he'll take care of it asap! Cheer up!!! You're getting married soon!!!!!

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
Sorry...Can't help with the direction cards. I didn't even know they provided those!I was just planning on putting directions on the ceremony programs...
My mom was at JT today and got the 'extras' brochure from Anna (the things you can add to your DH and reception for additional $$).
I was thinking I'd post the info later...Would that be helpful to anyone or should I just not waste my time?

Do they match the placecards they give you? If so, yeah, they're pretty ugly. I'm also at the point of being too lazy and cheap to care, so I'm using their placecards, etc...

the direction cards i didnt care about because all of my guests know where it is anyway so putting them in the invitation wasnt really a necessity but i did it anyway. but the placecards i wanted something special so i got them custom made with our monogram and then had matching table #'s made too.

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
I'm pretty sure I still have directions cards, & placecards left over.I will try to take a pic later tonight.
As for changing your menu and being bosses by Anna, DO NOT LET ANYONE CHANGE WHAT YOU WANT!!! Let your BM know about what happened and have him make the changes you want!!!
And just for the record, I thought the champagne march was completely cheesy as well.

i actually loved the champagne march and so did our guests!! they just come out to a fast beat music all lined up and then go to the dance floor in a circle and then pair up and then go to tables to pour the champagne...no dancing, nothing stupid, at least IMO.

I just burst out laughing at the 'be our guest' comment...Seriously, the whole thing confuses me. Why do they need to 'march'? MY wedding, last time I checked, is not a broadway show...

We thought it was really cheesy, we did not read our contract very well I guess cause we didnot even know this was included. FH thougth it was sooo cheesy, but it was too late to stop them once they started.
Oh well.

Yeah, I didn't notice it either, and FH was showing his grandmother the menu and suddenly looks at me all confused saying, 'What's a champagne march? It sounds sketchy to me.'
He's my little groomzilla!

Re: 'Official Jericho Terrace Thread'!
I called and asked JT to send me 150 direction cards and they did it no questions asked. The woman I spoke to was SO nice about it. They came in 2 days.Upon review however, they don't match my invitations at all so I'm going to have them done myself.
Here is the card scanned in B/W. The text is green and the card is white.
