I am actually using the library and conservatory for my cocktail hour and the manor room for the reception. I think you can request whatever rooms you want and as long as they are available, you should be able to get it.

I have to apologize to all the WBM brides.

I had my wedding there on November 5, 2005. It was absolutely wonderful.

I have been very bad...I haven't even did a review or posted any pictures, or spoke about my experience that may help other brides to be.

My family is still talking about my wedding there. We just had my cousin's wedding last weekend in NYC. I couldn't get over how forward my family was to say that my wedding far exceeded my cousin's wedding.

I will post a review. Be patient with me as I have a new role as 'Wife' to fill.

No worries! Glad that your wedding was wonderful and that WM shone through. We all love that feedback!

Looking forward to your review!

What's this in regards to?
Usually if you're in the Manor Room you use the Conservatory & Library for your CH unless it's outside. You can't really pick rooms...

Hi Everyone,

I was just reading the posts this morning and was very happy to see so many Westbury Manor brides. . . so happy that I had to take the leap and register so I could be a part of the thread My date is June 24, 2006. Ceremony at WM 11:30 with reception in the Garden Room/Library. You all seem so together even in your frazzled states. . . I haven't even picked my photographer yet. . . YIKES!! FYI, I am a self-proclaimed queen of procrastination. I figure I have a beautiful place. I have a great band (LI Paramount's Arcadia) I have my dress, etc. I am almost decided on the florist. . . so, everything else will fall into place. . .RIGHT?? but geez, who knew it would be so crazy!! Anyway, best of luck to everyone and any advice would be greatly appreciated. . . Jennifer

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Quick question, what is everyone going with for their wedding, band or dj? Anyone who already had their wedding, how was the room size? We are thinking we'll have about 110-120 people with a 6 piece band in the Garden Room and no matter how many times WM or the band tells us it is fine, 'you won't be blown away or sitting on top of each other, we do this all the time' it's still a little nerve wracking. . . although (fingers crossed) it will be a beautiful day and people will wander outside, etc. I have to agree with everyone about the ambiance of WM, it was the third place we looked at and we just knew immediately that it was the place. . . okay, i knew I felt the same way with our band (L.I. Paramount's Arcadia). I have looked at one florist, ************* (I know, I know. . . procrastination, it will be the end of me ) . . . any comments? Because I have to say I feel the same way about them. . . It's kind of weird and a little scary to feel like just going with a gut feeling. .. but so far it's seemed to do right by me. . . it's how I got my dress as well. I wasn't even seriously looking (just humoring my grandmother) and I agreed to try on 3 dresses . . . it was the first one i picked out. . . wonder if good vibes/karma can run out. . . hmmmm . . . anyway. . . any other advice on photographers would be appreciated as well. . . (bad, i know . . . just over 3 months left. . . yikes . . . ) I do have my officiant though. . . that's good. . .

I had my wedding already...in the Garden Room (LOVED IT!!!) we had approx 100-110 people. We had a DJ and had plenty of room. I think if you keep your wedding to the 110 size you should be ok. Don't forget also you'll have people like you said wandering around outside, or in the Library Room. Not everyone will be in there 100% of the time.

Not sure who the florist is because they're blocked out. Try putting in the name with spaces in between and we can let you know. I will say that Bobby Suss-Kolyer the WM in-house florist did an AMAZING job on our flowers!!!! I would recommended him 100%!

I too did EVERYTHING by gut feeling...dress too! Everything except the DJ worked out to be fantastic!

As for photographers I would highly recommended Franklin Square Photography for video & photos. We ABSOLUTELY LOVE them!

Let me know if you want to see some of my proofs or examples of the florist's work.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

The florist I am leaning towards is jack and @->-- hopefully that will work. . . looks like a rose to me. . . why it won't let me put the name is beyond me when it let me put others. . . weird . . . but okay. I'd love to see your flowers. . . I spoke with him once but he seemed . . . i don't know kind of uninterested. . . he could have just been busy though. . . anyway, how was his pricing? I'm thinking small centerpieces because the place itself is beautiful so I don't want it to be overkill with the centerpieces (also mine is an afternoon reception so I kind of feel like it doesn't need to look as sophisticated. . . I don't know) Anyway, I will look into Franklin Square, thanks. Did you find them to be reasonable? Was your wedding day or night? I bet WM is absolutely georgeous at night. . .

I am not sure about your room but everyone told me to get high centerpieces for the Manor Room. I didn't b/c I just like the look of low CPs better. Did you look through this post? There are some pics of rooms in there somewhere!

yes, the WM is SO pretty at night!!

He seems like every other florist to me..... a million ideas going through his head trying to picture just what the heck you want Or at least that is what I thought when I met him. His prices weren't the best but he makes all the arrangements there and he does AMAZING work.

The florist you're leaning to does not have good reviews on here...he has some, but they pale in compairison to the negative ones.
When I booked the in-house florist it was when WM was still Scotto Brothers owned & operated. So I booked with Perfect Wedding Planner and sat with Christopher Manuel...AMAZING! I showed him one picture and threw around my ideas and he went pulling pics, etc. It was perfect. Then WM broke off of SB and I was lost. I spoke with Jerry Scotto and he assured me Bobby was going to handle my order and everything would turn out perfect. I had to meet with Bobby for myself. I was impressed until I saw my flowers that day and he's my MAN! I must have hugged him up a million times that day! He was GREAT! He stayed to watch our ceremony and just truly enjoyed the little touches we put in.
Oh we had an 11am wedding with an afternoon reception. I had to have daytime because the theme for our wedding was autumn and the grounds at WM are soooo beautiful I just couldn't have it hidden at night. Plus we got married there and I was dying for the sunshine ceremony. The guests were able to see how beautiful it is at night too because the wedding ended in the dark.

Here's a link to some of our proofs that I posted on LIW. There are more on page 2 LINK to FS Proofs
