I am considering only have 9 tables in the Garden Room since we can't do 10 tables of 10...without splitting the guests up in ways they wouldn't be comfortable, and I actually like the way I have my tables set up with 9.

they said they'd do 4 tables by the entrance, and 5 on the other side.

what do you ladies think about that?

That will be perfect...I think we did the same. I honestly can't remember!

I am in the Manor Room and want to use a variation of the following CP:

For those girls that were in the Manor Room or are familiar with it, will this CP work or is it too much? Please be honest!

That CP is going to look perfect in that room. It's such a large room that taller CPs look great.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Hi! I have a question. My cocktail hour is in the back outside part, over the small bridge. Is it possible to have music played out there for the cocktail hour? I was looking into DJS that play music during the cocktail hr too, but I dont know if that would be possible out there?

Thanks, Danielle

I am pretty sure that WM has speakers out there that they will play music on. If your DJ is going to supply the music though, then there should be no problems, they would bring their own equipment.

True...and most of the time when a DJ plays music during the CH they just have a small set up...even just a radio (CD Player) that they play.

I think that would look beautiful & elegant in the Manor Room!! I was just there last night to drop off all our stuff and they were setting up in there and let us peek it looked so beautiful with the high CPs. We are having low ones which I know everyone says to go with high I just like low but I got worried b/c the ones we saw were SO pretty

Thanks for your feedback - OMG - you're getting married in 2 days!!!!! I am sure the low CPs will look beautiful - funny enough the last time I saw the Manor Room all set up, they had low CPs that looked so beautiful, I doubted having high CPs. I think WM is so gorgeous that pretty much anything goes!

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Hi everyone, I've been reading this forum for a while but my first time posting. I'll be getting married at WM next year June 10, afternoon wedding. My ceremony will be outside, weather permitting, and reception in the Garden Room.

My question is that according my contract, my CH will be in the Polo Lounge - is there anyone else who will also be having their CH in there? It seems rather small, will it fit 100 or so people?

Thanks for all the useful info on this forum!

Our CH was in the Polo Lounge...we had around 100 people...everything was perfect. I too thought it was going to be tight, but it worked out great. No worries.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Hi Ladies. . . just wondering. . .my wedding is June 24th and we are getting ready to send out our invites in the next week. . . I never got direction cards or placecards or anything from WM . . . I haven't even gotten 'the call' yet. . . and I know, I know. . . it will come. . . but I'm feeling kind of forgotten about. . . Do I just call them and ask for my direction cards, etc.? Do you think they forgot me? We signed with Mel and I have to say. . . we've never heard from him since (almost a year now) . . . is that the norm? I got my bill for May. . .and kind of thought, why didn't they include direction cards when they were asking for their money?? That would have made life simpler . . . for me anyway. . .
geez louise. . .

We just stopped by and picked up the direction cards when we were ready to send out the invites.
There really is no need for them to call you until your menu appt, which is normally a month before your wedding. They'll probably be calling you sometime in May to set that up.
You will get your placecards at your menu appt.

no, they don't contact you after you sign with them. only when you set up your menu appt.

i went there and picked up my direction cards, they don't automatically send them to you

I called them and asked for the direction cards when I was getting ready to send the invites. Otherwise I didn't hear from them until they called me for the menu appointment. Thats normal. Think about how many things they have going on there, they don't have time to call everyone to check up on them. They will only call for the necessary things.

We got our directions cards when we signed with them but I'm
sure they can mail them to you or you can just swing by to get them.

Thanks. . . sometimes it just gets a little unnerving when you don't speak to or hear from a vendor in forever. . . I know. .. it will all work out in the end. . . I just came home from Michael's where I was looking at a couple of things for the wedding and the cashier asked me when and where. . . and after telling her she exclaimed, 'OH MY GOD. . . I LOVE THAT PLACE' . . . what a great thing to hear she said her cousin got married there last June and it was perfect. . . YAY I can't wait

Hello WM girls!!
I have a question for you. We are definitely not going to be making our minimum (140) We have already counted vendors and kids as 'real' people and only get up to 132.
Do you know if they will give us something of the same value we are paying anyway - like an extra at cocktail hour or choc. fountain or something.

it wouldn't hurt to ask - but I doubt they will throw in something extra (not because they aren't fabulous!) but just because... definitely ask though! it's worth a shot!!
