OMG WHAAAAAAAAAAAT??????? how can they do that?? you signed a contract, right?
IMO, take your deposit back and be done with them! what's to stop them from doing it again?
I don't even know if that is legal. check the contract!

Now I WANT to get married at Floral Terrace. I have no contract at Floral Terrace. I DO have a signed contract at Crest Hollow Country Club.

Re: My wedding date was just changed by Crest Hollow
I don't have any loses. They called me when I was with the DJ - about to sign the contract. I had a hold with the photographer but luckily no signed contract. So really what's my loss? It's mostly annoying and upsetting. And I also feel like how can I trust them.

Re: My wedding date was just changed by Crest Hollow
They said they 'accidently' double booked it. How do you do that? PLUS - I was working with 3 sales managers - they ALL didn't see that it was already booked. The reason I was working with 3 was b/c each weekend I went to look a different one helped me which was a little annoying too.

Crest Hollow just changed the date of my wedding and they told me it was just too bad. I could take the new date or they will give me my money back. I was wondering if that ever happened to anyone. Do you think I should still get married there? Does anyone have any ideas why they would do this????
I WOULD TAKE THE OFFER OF GETTING THE DEPOSIT BACK & ABSOLUTELY NOT GET MARRIED THERE
I have no inside info but guess they double booked the room
That does happen - sad but true. They probably realized it and decided which couple to notify/cancel on
They are offering your money back so take it. Since they are the ones cancelling on you - they HAVE to give your money back

That has happened to other brides on this site. It's not all that unusual with so many banquet managers trying to get commission for booking the rooms.

That sounds like a bad Z100 phone tap! Take your money back and go somewhere else, just on principle! Then I'd check with an attorney too. I bet they would have sued you if you were the one to break the contract and just decided to pull out!!!

I was thinking the same thing. When I needed to change my date, 18 mos in advance mind you, they would not cut me an inch of slack..but these halls cna just do whatever they want. You can probably sue them for breach of contract

Re: My wedding date was just changed by Crest Hollow
that's BS! they were probably able to book your room for more $$$. the catering hall business is so slimy.
