Yeah, it's at 7pm. If anyone wants to go, I would just call your BM. lillian771, if I'm able to see Nick and talk to him, I'll ask when the next one will be so you can clear your schedule for it.

I'll let you know how it went ladies. My fiancee hasn't fallen in love with this place but I'm hoping the food will change his mind.

You will love it!!!!

I want to go back for another tasting... I think all us LIW CLM girls should go in together LOL, that would be fun!

This is a GREAT idea!!! Lets pick a Wednesday! It'll be a CLM GTG!

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread

OMG, do your men get irriatated about all this wedding talk too? I thought I was the only one having this trouble. :)

Ladies, CLM was AWESOME tonight. We had an appie, salad, and then they come out with a huge platter of 6 entrees that the table can share and taste. It was just FH and my mom, and we had the whole table to ourselves. It was open bar and my mom had some wine and FH had Fuzzy Navels. After dinner, they wrapped up our leftovers and let us take it home. Then they brought us coffee and a plate of cookies and pastries. It was all white glove service and the service was great. They brought us more drinks whenever our glasses were half empty. I was really impressed. I think the food was a plus for my FH and he is actually considering this place if we have the ceremony in this 'chapel' they are building because he's concerned about loud boats ruining our ceremony.

lillian771, I asked Nick and he said the next taste testing is probably Oct 27 (they do it every other week.) I would just call and book and try to get off work that night. So worth it.

LOL My FH is pretty tolerant with the wedding talk! I'm lucky!! The food there is great- and the service is amazing... we took home tons of leftovers when we went too and there were only 6 of us! The cookies are SOOOOO good! Good luck again, with your decision! Let us know if you want to come to out CLM GTG!

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread

Thanks Nutty. Girls night might be fun. :)

Yeah, my FH is driving me bonkers. He said he didn't know planning a wedding would be this much work. The only work he's done is gone over the invite list when I tied him to my computer chair and then sit in the car as I drive him to all the wedding places that I researched. Argghh! Men! hehe

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread

Hey ladies,

Something just occurred to me. CLM does 2 weddings at a time, but staggers them. However, they only have the one Bridal Suite on the second floor, right? How do they handle that with 2 brides in the house? Do you only get the suite for a short time before you have to hand it over to the second bride? I would be the first wedding of the day and would have the upstairs Reception Room right near the bridal suite.

Thanks!

Just so you girls know I posted it earlier, Chateau La Mer is having a huge halloween custom party on Halloween. My friends are going and I am hoping to make it also.

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread

One more thing....

Does anyone know where they are building this chapel? Are they expanding their property or reducing the size of the Reception or Cocktail rooms to build it? I forgot to ask Nick when I was there.

Thanks again! You ladies are so helpful!

The way I understood it was that they don't necessarily do 2 weddings at a time, just 2 parties. The upstairs room is used for parties that aren't weddings, so there shouldn't be any issues with the bridal suite. You should call them to confirm this though. Let us know what they say!

Chapel will be downstairs, as well as a NEW bigger bridal suite... that should eliminate any problems if there are two weddings going on at once (Which they do, but not on Fridays! I think only on Saturdays... and they are staggered).

I'd love to know about the Halloween Party too!

Oh, and we seriously should get the CLM girls tasting together :) We can ask Mrs. Wask and Nessa79 too!

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread

A Halloween party that sounds like fun I was looking for an excuse to get dressed up this Halloween. Let me know too whats up!

And Going nutty you are right my understanding is that they don't do 2 weddings on Friday and that is when my wedding is. I heard that one time before and I called up Nick in a panic and he reassured me that I am the only bride there that day.

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread

Hi all CLM brides,

I am just recently engaged amd CLM was one of the first places I looked at. To me everything was beautiful. Nick seemed to be great and easy to work with. I am interested in a March wedding which is supposed to be one of the cheapest months, if anybody doesn't mind would you share what price quotes the gave you per person

Thankyou
