Re: Chateau la Mer Thread
We met with Lavendar Studios for photography but didn't like them as much as others we had met with. We also spoke with the DJ at the tasting but know the MC with Variety Music so went with them instead.

Here's the response to the FM I sent CLM regarding our get-together:Hello Lillian!
It would be our pleasure to have you and your fellow brides join us. Just let us know which food tasting you would like to come to. Don't worry about the amount of people you will have at the 'get together,' we're all family now! Try to give us an accurate count about 2 days prior to whichever date you choose and we will take it from there.
If you need to get a list of upcoming food tastings, just give Nick a call at 631-225-0400
I look forward to seeing all of you!
Sincerely,
George
Aren't they the best? I'm SO happy with our choice. Has anyone called Nick? I can't do it right now cause I'm swamped at work. :(

Did any of you ladies use the house vendors at CLM? Thanks!
No, we didn't use any of them. We also spoke with their DJ at our tasting, but didn't go with him.

Hey, I am CLM 06. Am I uninvited??? Ha-ha! I honeslty think if you open it to BHB, you are going to get too many responses and CLM is going to have to designate the whole room for a LI Weddings get-together. He-he! And, if I am included, January works good for me too.

Hehe... I forget you are 06 :) Of course you are invited... With BHB, I still meant only CLM brides... I only know of two or three that aren't on here cuz they were married this summer... Michal and Vanessa, if we want to ask them as well. There's always FM! Whatever you guys think

You should ask them ... Vanessa would probably love to go back there, given the review she wrote.

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread
well it is just that everything is gold so I wanted to change it up a bitOk so I have a few questions.... what about the 2 events at a time? Did you see them or anything during your weddings???
Also.. What about times. Im getting married ona friday night and am unsure when to do the cokctail hour and stuff. If we do the vienesse hour then it would have to start at 6 so the wedding is over at a decent hour but if we dont then Id say 730?? The thing is I kinda wanted to wait and see how the funds are before I definately decided on the vienesse hour.
Those of you that did it... was it worth it? Did the guest stay??

On a Friday night they only have one wedding at a time. It's actually written in my contract that I will be the only bride in the building. However, there maybe be another type of party in the upstairs room, which is fine with me.
I am also getting married on a Friday, and our cocktail hour starts at 7:30. We are not doing the Vienesse Hour so time wasn't really an issue. However, I have heard it is amazing!!
GOod luck with your decision!

How many people minimum did you need for the downstairs room. I will have around 125 and they showed us the upstairs room

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread
Room minimums depend on time of year, day of week...We had a Sunday night wedding in August and our minimum for the downstairs room was 150.
There was another wedding going on upstairs that had started before ours and you wouldn't have known AT ALL that there was anyone else there!!

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread
Jenn, for a Sunday afternoon in May, they told us the downstairs room has a 150 min. Upstairs was 100 so we took that. Honestly, the bottom room might be too big as I think it holds up to 185. But you can totally call Lou up with a list of questions. They'll be happy to help.I actually like being upstairs since my bridal suite and guest bathrooms are all up there so we will not be disturbed at all once we are up there. If the bride or guests from the second wedding come in early, we won't see or hear them.

They're putting a new bridal suit downstairs that is supposed to be double the size of the upstairs one, if it helps!

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread
Unfortunately, you only have the big bridal suite if you have the big room. But if you are on a Friday, it's only one wedding at a time so I wouldn't see why they wouldn't let you use the big room.Welcome New Vendors
