Re: Chateau la Mer Thread
I believe it's $50 or $55 a ticket.

Just so you girls know I posted it earlier, Chateau La Mer is having a huge halloween custom party on Halloween. My friends are going and I am hoping to make it also.
Bridget
How much are the tickets?

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread
I think you are a Friday wedding, right?I would be a Sunday morning wedding so they would stagger another wedding 2-3 hours after mine, but there would definitely be 2 brides in house at same time.
Posted by lillian771
The way I understood it was that they don't necessarily do 2 weddings at a time, just 2 parties. The upstairs room is used for parties that aren't weddings, so there shouldn't be any issues with the bridal suite. You should call them to confirm this though. Let us know what they say!

Hi all CLM brides,
I am just recently engaged amd CLM was one of the first places I looked at. To me everything was beautiful. Nick seemed to be great and easy to work with. I am interested in a March wedding which is supposed to be one of the cheapest months, if anybody doesn't mind would you share what price quotes the gave you per person
Thankyou

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread
Thanks Nutty! This does calm my fears. Do you know where exactly they are building this chapel? Are they expanding the building to do this? Just curious.

Chapel will be downstairs, as well as a NEW bigger bridal suite... that should eliminate any problems if there are two weddings going on at once (Which they do, but not on Fridays! I think only on Saturdays... and they are staggered).
I'd love to know about the Halloween Party too!
Oh, and we seriously should get the CLM girls tasting together :) We can ask Mrs. Wask and Nessa79 too!

I don't think so, just going into their space downstairs, as far as I know!

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread
Thanks! I was trying to picture where they would even fit the chapel. I guess they'd have to cut into the larger reception room downstairs. I guess I'll have to take one last look around if/when I decide to book here and ask them where the new chapel and bridal suite would be built. Thanks again!

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread
Hey,I was just there Tuesday night. I'm getting married in the chapel. It's supposed to be doneb y the end of the year. It's actually already built--it was the basement. They've done the piping and electrical. Nick said the welder was coming in a week to look at the area for the straircase, which will be in the lobby right next to the other staircase and they'll move the piano into the middle of the room. Downstairs will be the new bridal suite, the chapel, their offices and the coat check. The one wall in the chapel will be all glass to look out on the water from the lower level of the deck. I'm very happy I've chosen CLM so far. Nick and George have been very accomodating and always helpful and cheerful. Some places I looked at, the BMs just seemed like they didn't care if you booked or not or whether you were happy, as long as you gave them money.

Oooh, yay! That sounds great. Thanks for the info. Did you get to see it or did Nick just describe it to you. I'm going to my food tasting for Thatched Cottage next week, then I have to make my final decision: Thatched Cottage or Chateau La Mer. It's going to be a tough one.... I love both places.

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread
When we were first deciding on places, almost exactly a year ago, George and Nick sat down with us and descibed the plans for the basement. George brought out pictures of all these chapels he had been to for ideas and said it was going to be most like the chapel in the Bellagio in Vegas. I have not seen a thing yet. They will not let anyone go down with the work going on. All I know is that it will be a kind of cream color with chairs, not pews, so they can remove them and use the room for smaller parties. Curiosity is killing me!

Re: Chateau la Mer Thread
Very interesting. Sounds good to me. :)I'm still trying to figure out how the chapel can overlook the water being in the basement. Haha! I guess we'll all just have to wait and see. They did such a nice job on everything else, I'm sure this too will be great.

Hey ladies,Does anyone know what you need to guarantee to have the larger room downstairs? Nick told me 100 for the smaller room upstairs but my list keeps growing and I wanted to see about getting the larger room.

We needed to guarantee 125 on a Saturday night in February for the Atrium. I'm also using Vinny from High Voltage.

I think I can do 120. My invite list has somehow crept up to 135. By the time some people decline, I might be right at 120. We'll see.
