Re: Diet time!! post here for support

Well good luck to everyone. We'll see what happens. If you really force yourself to post your progress it should help. I going to try no matter how embarassing my progress or slip ups are. I'm going to try and stay positive and that to me is the most important.

Re: Diet time!! post here for support

Man, this WW is TOUGH! I am already learning all of my bad eating habits. Due to my bagel this morning (could not resist) along with choclate milk (apparently even w. fat free milk, its still like 3 points) I am down to like 10 points for the rest of the day. I had to make up for it by eating salad for lunch. uck, I hate salad, but all the veggies were zero points.
This is going to take some getting used to! I can eat more times a day, but have to cut out stuff from my diet. I think I was eating bad food, but not much during the day, so I thought that was OK. Now I see that I can eat more, but it has to be better food.

Re: Diet time!! post here for support

I am so glad that I came across this post! I am currently working my butt off to lose weight...I have just 3 months until the big day! I have been VERY disciplined for just over 2 weeks now and I've lost 10lbs.!!! I walk everyday (outside or inside on a treadmill) and do various tapes...pilates, yoga, body toning, etc. I have been very strict with my diet as well. I don't starve myself, I just eat extremely healthy on a consistent basis. It was so hard to be disciplined over the holidays, but I told myself that if I could make it through the holidays, I can do anything! I think that the key to LONGTERM weight loss, and being healthy in general is to make it a way of life. I keep telling myself that this is not a crash diet for me, I want to become healthier. If you can find friends who share this common goal, that helps as well. Two of my friends and I try to walk together as much as possible, and call each other for support all the time.

Good luck ladies!

Re: Diet time!! post here for support

Yeah we need to support each other.

I'm trying to recruit my friends around me to walk with me or work out with me on a regular basis. It helps to have people that way if you don't do it there is someone to hold you responsible. I'm going to start walking/running 5 days a week. I have a very detailed excel schedule that is 3 phases. Anyone who have more than 3 months to loose weight if your interested let me know. It's a pretty easy schedule in the beginning. Like 5 min run combined with at 20 min walk. Then by the end you are running for 65 minutes like once a week.

Anyway if you are interested let me know I'll gladly email it to you.

Re: Diet time!! post here for support

I was not good today at lunch. I had two pieces of pot roast (8pts, I think), 2 pieces of sweet sour chicken(I say 5 pts, about half a serving), a spoonful of mashed potatoes (2pts), and some carrots (1 point). Plus chocolate milk (3 points).
That's a whopping 19 points, just for lunch. I failed to stick to my 12 point lunch. Together with breakfast it came to a total of 23. So its all veggies for the rest of the day for me. And I didn't stick to my lower range figure.... HELP!!!

Re: Diet time!! post here for support

Alfordk9 I would love to see your schedule but I am not a runner. I have shin splints really bad. I speed walk though.

I am going back to the gym tomorrow 9:00 am SHARP! Step class is at 9:30 so I am going to do abs before then sit in the classroom and wait for the class to start. Those true step class folks are a little looney sometimes.

Anyone go to the Bally's in Levittown?

Re: Diet time!! post here for support

That's why WW was to hard for me cause you are so very limited to what you eat. And I was always hungry even with those vegetables you can eat.

You should try and eat the pre-packaged lean cusine and weight watchers meals for lunch and a salad. The points are already on the box and most of them are less than 9. And the salad is zero points so you wind up getting more food out of it.

Try that it helped me to eat those meals cause I felt like i was getting more food for the same amount of points I was getting no food on.

Re: Diet time!! post here for support

I am so proud of myself for resisting the 3 coffee cakes under my nose all day on Friday at work!! Been doing good. 40 minutes on treadmill this morning. I just read my People magazine and it inspired me. Anyone trying to lose a few or many pounds will appreciate the article. It's about 6 real people who fought the battle and won. One girl did it on WW. A definite inspiration!

Re: Diet time!! post here for support

I made it to the step class on Saturday. I also did 120 combo sit-ups. Then I don't know what possessed me to do the ab class right after step and I think that is what killed me! I am not as sore as yesterday. Every movement I made with my abdominal area, caused me to say ouch!

I wanted to go back in today, but I still hurt... Going tomorrow to do leg weights and 15 minutes of cardio.

Re: Diet time!! post here for support

Good Morning!

Well I become another WW member tonight! This morning I resisted Starbucks! I am so proud of myself! That was a HUGE step for me! So I got my V-8 and Special K instead. Probably doesn't compare to Caramel Macchiato's and a croissant! OH well!

Re: Diet time!! post here for support

Todays marks day 1 of my diet.
This morning i had peppermint tea w/no sugar. That's the only tea I can drink w/o it.

I'm going to the gym after work today, and I'm going to WW tomorrow. I've been doing it online, but I dont think that;s enough motivation for me, so my girlfriend found one that's not too far from home, so we'll start tomorrow together.

Re: Diet time!! post here for support

I was bad this weekend (the points from beer kept sneaking up on me ) but I am back on track. I even had my snack this morning (a banana) after my oatmeal breakfast. Also went to the gym on Sat, and walked my dog for 45 min (in the snow!) last night w. FH.

Re: Diet time!! post here for support

today is day 2 of WW. and so far so good. Yesterday i had 23 points (my range is 20 - 25 points) and today so far been very good. I had a special K breakfast bar, 2 clematines, 1/2 cup OJ and have been munching on carrots. I have soup and melba toast for lunch and FI is planning a wonderful chicken cutlet in italian dressing with rice dinner.

I am really sticking to this diet. It doesnt even feel like a diet. I am liking this WW thing.
