ok so I asked about the new chairs for the Garden Terrace today and we were told yes they have ordered new chairs similar to the chairs in the winter garden HOWEVER they cant guarantee when they are coming in. so in other words it could be tomorrow or upwards of a year.

How do they not know...? that's odd... which reminds me... we have the chair covers, and I know they don't come with sashes... IF I wanted the chair sashes where could I order them from?

I got them through the fox hollow and this is where they always order from. they are really nice and helpful!

i asked the same thing and was told they didnt ask for a set date b/c it wasnt a priority.
i'm not sure about sashes.
question: we are still undecided about the chair covers. we are doing the ivory underlay, gold overlay (top) and ivory napkins. since the chair covers are only available in ivory would it look ok?

I think the ivory chair covers would look nice with a gold sash that matched the overlay. JMO

I have no idea bout the price as I was given them in place of an error that was made with my invites. If you call that place or PWP, they will be able to tell you...hth

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
I have a few questions regarding DIY CPs.....I met with Dave today (Ron has since retired). I wanted to double check some things, and ask some further questions. I was told that they usually don't set up DIY CPs unless you use their house florist, and if they do set it up, they may charge me extra. Needless to say, Ron never mentioned that, and from what I've read on this thread, lots of Fox Hollow brides have DIY CPs and said that they boxed everything up, and Fox Hollow took care of it. I remember someone (davenjess?) saying that you should plan to spend a lot of time there, because they take extra care labeling everything you bring in.
One of my CPs will contain: a mirror base, an iron pillar candlestick, a pillar candle, 6 votives around, 3 photo frames around, and rose petals (which the florist said they will spread for me). I plan to set up one CP, take a picture, and put this in each box with all the CP supplies for each table, so they have a very clear idea of what to do. On average, I doubt it'd take more than a few minutes to set up each CP.
I'd really appreciate any information you can give me. Thanks!
On the up side, I asked about the size of the room so I can get started with my DIY aisle runner, and when I asked about what they use to prevent slipping, Dave said he'd give me the aisle runner to take with me! So now I have to return the other one to AC Moore, and knowing the dimensions, I can finally get started on that!
Another lesson learned: GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING, NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY. Whether or not the vendor wants to just agree verbally, have them write it in the contract. I'm kicking myself that I didn't do that in the beginning. Ron promised us stuff and now he's gone, and they'll honor some things, but not others. It's a lesson I learned throughout this planning process.

Sorry, I'm a confused by what you said. Dave told me that they decorate the ceremony and coctail hour completely, does that mean we would normally need an asile runner anyway? Or are you planning on adding your own decorations in addition?

Sorry for the confusion!
Yes, they do decorate the ceremony and cocktail hour. They do provide an aisle runner, and he said that they have it in place, and they keep it rolled up until the bride is ready to walk down, so that way the guests don't damage it or get it dirty before the ceremony begins.
I had seen such beautiful DIY aisle runners made by LIW brides that I was inspired to do my own! I bought the floral runner at AC Moore, have all the supplies, and planned to make it sometime this summer.
When I was at Fox Hollow today, I asked about the length of my ceremony room, the Lantern Garden, and the typical length of their aisle runner, so I can plan out how long my runner should be, where I should begin the text and monogram that I plan to paint onto it. I also asked if it would be slippery because I doubt the runner from AC Moore has any kind of adhesive strip on it (doesn't look like it & the label doesn't say). He first said why don't I just use theirs, since it's provided anyway, so I explained I wanted to make it personalized. He was going to show me a sample of the runners that they use, and instead, he gave me an aisle runner, all wrapped up, so I can personalize it with my monogram & text, and bring it back when I drop off all the supplies a few days before our wedding. He said that they order a lot of runners because they always use a new runner for each ceremony. Afterward each ceremony, they throw it out and use a new one.

When you go for your final meeting, do they contact you or do you just call up at set up an appointment? Oh, and who would I ask for when I call? Thanks!

Ron promised us stuff and now he's gone, and they'll honor some things, but not others. It's a lesson I learned throughout this planning process. Now I am getting nervous I read that Ron is really gone, and I have in writing things like chair covers etc, but now I am nervous about the room that night at the Inn. He wrote it in our contract for a comp room. But now I am so afraid they are going to back peddle on stuff.
And is the cake selection really limited? Or are they willing to work with you!
MAN! I wish I was able to access this site more, no chat access at my office!!

I know how you feel. We were promised chair covers and when we did the contract they wrote linens so I assumed that inc. the chair covers - i was wrong. They reduced the $ for me bc of the confusion but still. as long as you have it in writing you are pretty guaranteed it.
as for the cake, in my opinion it was very limited. maybe 7-8 choices. i showed them an image of what i want and they are going to get back to me if the baker can do it. so i consider that working with me. lol
