Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
I have Susan as my BM. We went back twice after booking just to check out some things that are specifically important to me, but I doubt I'll have any more contact with her besides dropping off our payments. She was awesome, she literally took me on three tours of FH and showed me every nook and cranny. I had a lot of stuff written into my contract so I know exactly what I'm getting.
I figure I can always negotiate at my final meeting, too... so I feel so good about everything.

Did any of you WGP girls think at one point you'd have too many? I'm planning on 120, because we're after the holiday & am strong arming my mom & FMIL to find out what the deal is with out of towners because they will put us up to 170 invited! I need to pray for 'NO'S' Never in my life have I wanted to be rejected! LOL![]()
we invited 170 also. And ended up with 140. And I think we easily coul haev fit another table and had enough room. When u look at pics of our set up, it looks like a large space was left for another table. And we used the max number of tables. And I thought we had plenty of space on the dance floor. You can kind of see what I mean in this pic.
Gina, is that a step ladder in the middle of your floor, in front of your table???![]()

No it was the folding thing that they placed the tray on. It wasn't there long.

Oh my God!!!!! I LOVE that blue lighting!!! Was that something that your DJ did for you? My color is cobalt blue, the exact color of that light. Since we're getting married in very early November, I'm figuring that we have the best of both worlds with daylight streaming through the Winter Garden glass ceiling, and then dusk to nightfall since it should be getting darker earlier. Would love to have my DJ light the room like that!
Thanks for sharing such a beautiful photo!!!
Thanks!! My DJ did the lighting. It was just their general lighting package- you dont need a lot in that room cus everything reflects- its great!!! Saves money that way. LOL. I used Starlight Express. They kept it really simple the whole night. Used whites and blues most of the time as I didn't want too many colors going on- I didn't want it to feel clubby.

A question or concern for those of you who had Ron as their BM.......
I called Fox Hollow this afternoon to speak with Ron, and was told that 'he no longer works here.' Not that he's on a leave of absence, medical or family leave, or that he's coming back in the future, but that he isn't there anymore at all.
I was told to speak with Dave, head director of sales (who's off on Thurs/Fri, and won't be in until Saturday), or Jenn and Annmarie. Has anyone here worked with them? Any advice?
We were very comfortable working with Ron, and he literally promised us a few very important things, and said 'don't worry, of course we'll do this' and reassured us on several occasions that everything will be taken care of, just call him when we're coming out to Fox Hollow and he'll take care of it all. I asked for it to be written in the contract, which of course, it wasn't, but Ron did assure us a bunch of times, both in person and on the phone, both before and after we booked.
So, what happens now? Will Fox Hollow honor our verbal agreement with Ron? I'm going to try calling Dave on Saturday to see where to go from here. But yes, I'm worried now!
This happened to us with Charlie. he promised us things and we were dumb adn didn't get it in writing and of course he left and we never got them. From that point on I insisted anythign they tell me be put in writing!!! Make sure you do that from now on!!!!!
ETA: One thing he promised us was a room at the inn- said it came standard. But after he left, we were told we didn't get a room. DH talked to Dave and ended up getting us the room. But the other things we were promised were a viennesse table- but it wasn't in writing and I sort of didn't care so I didn't try to get it back. And the other thing was we were told everyone gets wine on the tables, but when we went for final details we were told it was an extra charge. But then when we dropped off our payment we were told it wasn't. So i dunno what the deal is with that, but I decided just not to have them as it took up room on my table.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
I just read through the replies and thanks to everyone for all your suggestions and advice about my concerns over losing Ron as our BM. I was so swamped last night with completing report cards that I didn't sign on after I posted that, because I would have never finished my work! LIW is definitely addicting!I'm going to call Dave and see what happens, since I was told he's the director of sales and would be the best person to help in this situation. And yes, I'm definitely getting everything in writing from this point on, no matter which vendor it is. I'd rather be safe than disappointed!
Thanks again to everyone!!!!!!! I love this thread!!!!!

Question- I have to call to set up an appt for my final meeting with Jen, I was wondering for any of you past or present who did not order ANY extras when it came to food. Was the menu they gave you enough in your opinion?? Trying to keep costs down so this could be a way to do it. TIA!!

We didn't order anything extra for food and there was PLENTY of options and food to go around. Was there something in particular that you were concerned about?

we had the EXACT same thing happen with Charlie - the room at the inn. Luckily we had everything else in writing. We tried for several months to get them to make good on Charlie's word, to no avail. I was annoyed because the room is $250, and it's nothing special!
We ended up not staying there at all and just taking our limo back home. It worked out fine.

Please please please let me know how you make out CC11208, cause I'm later in the month & have lost Ron also. I'm wondering if I should be reaching out to FH myself or wait for the notice from them. It seems like I get a million PWP letters but nothing from FH. Wow, I think ladies I am starting to stress about my wedding!

Well we got the 3 page letter with all the extras- CH, reception and dessert. Personally the only thing I care about it dessert
My dad thinks if we get some extra dessert no one will eat the cake and therefore I should forgo it. Who forgo's a wedding cake. Dont you have to cut the thing and do that whole song and dance? lol I would rather cupcakes personally but then what do you do for the cake cutting time of the reception? I would love a Cake by Jay but no way can we afford that extra!
still not sure what to do

Sure, I'll let you know what happens. I'm probably calling tomorrow. Just got home from my sister's baby shower, so all the planning, last-minute things, and the actual party had me pretty busy today.
I'm off to sleep now! I'll write when I find out details.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Honestly, by the time everyone got to dessert they were stuffed. Remember you already have one dessert PLUS the wedding cake. We decided to save the cash on the extras. Plus by the time we got to dessert it was almost (if not past) midnight.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
I wouldn't add more desserts. There's so much between the wedding cake and the dessert choice you already have and people have been eating and dancing for 4 hours already. They're so stuffed that these first 2 options are MORE than enough!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Is anyone able to have their rehearsal there the night before? Dave mentioned we can have a rehearsal dinner there at their restaurant, but then said they only do the rehearsals the morning of the wedding.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
we were told you could only have a rehearsal the morning of for a sunday, but if your wedding is on a Friday you may be able to get in on Thursday for the rehearsal. Otherwise they have weddings in there or the room may be set up differently.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
hey girls - we're back!the rehearsal dinner - they don't do rehearsals at the Fox Hollow prior to your wedding day. I was told this is because it's pointless. The only rehearsal you need is the one 20 minutes before your ceremony....that's it. You do it prior and people forget...simple as that!
food options - we didn't do ANYTHING extra - except the candy bar & people were STUFFED...
DO the cupcake tree if you want to!!! I originally wanted that too! You can have them do one cupcake on a plate and you slice that and feed each other the cupcake!!!
if it's what you want - DO IT.... One thing we all have to remember, no matter what mom wants, no matter what dad wants, this is you & your FH's DAY.... This is the day you have been planning for, for maybe a year, maybe 2, maybe 3... DO WHAT YOU WANT!
