Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

For those of you who booked rooms at the Exec Inn .. did you use their insert cards for your invites? Or did you have an accomodations card made up by the printer? Or make them yourself? I kinda like the idea of everything in the invite looking the same - I don't like the look of all different prints, fonts, etc.
(I am putting the Fox Hollow direction cards in there though, not sure why I care about the Exec Inn cards but not these .... )
Well, I do know - I am not a big fan of the Exec Inn cards, I think they look a little cheap. Plus, I want to list other accomodations nearby if people don't want to stay at the exec inn ....
long post, sorry!
I made my own executive in cards and my own direction cards

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
I just read back and noticed the 1/3 off, not 1/3 the price post.. i will triple check that when i call in, but i am 99.99% sure that's what they told me. I'll deal with it if not, but I should know either way.I did get my letter today! Very exciting, except for two things. They keep spelling my fiance's name wrong! It's a common enough name, but there are two accepted spellings and it's kind of annoying that they can't get it straight (i'm pretty sure i told them to fix it). I wouldn't care except, if they print our names on anything (sign or menus or something), i really want them to have it right! this is his wedding- his name should be correct! And my last name is a ridiculously confusing clunker with five consonants in a row.. and they got that right, so how hard is it to add an 'e' in his name?!
Other problem and I should have seen this one coming.. I had no idea the appointments were only during the week. We live in Manhattan. They do have later appointments, but my fiance is starting a new job on Monday and I just don't know how easy it's going to be for him to run out the door at 5 pm. His new boss knows he is getting married and is totally cool with him taking vacation time for it, but he's got to show that this job is his #1 priority right now in order to get off on the right foot. I can see why they can't do the meetings on the weekends because of all the affairs going on (and i'd rather them be able to show the rooms again) but.. i am seriously stressing this one. I guess he could just tell me what he wants and my mom could go with me, but i know he'll want to be there (he's one of those fiances that cares about the details!)
Also, we had the fox hollow cards copied on card stock that matches our invitations because i hated the hotel ad on the back. So that's an option.. you can retype the Exec inn ones.. it only cost us $14 to redo them.

very quick reply as we just got home and i'm tired..... you can have a weekend appointment if you do not live nearby. I live in NJ and Dave getting time off during the week is nearly impossible. We had a Friday appointment for our final! Just talk to them about it.
More tomorrow girly girls!

When does FH require you to give the final headcount? After looking at another post, I am afraid I didn't give myself enough time to call people who didn't RFSVP. My wedding is the 19th and our RSVP is the 1st of Oct!!what do I do??
you have plenty of time!!! Ours was due either 1 or 2 weeks before. I believe it was the week before.
I want to say it's 2 weeks before and the day you call in with your number, you make your FINAL appointment....your drop off, FINAL appointment :)
Oh man then that doesn't leave me much time to track those who didn't respond down!
My RSVP says to respond BEFORE OCt 1st but we all know how that goes. Oh Man, I totally screwed this one up!!!!

I think it would really depend upon what room you were in and how many people you were having. We were in the Garden Terrace with 230 people and I couldn't even think of putting another thing in there. Had I had 175...i think it would have been great. What room are you in?

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
I know this has been asked a bunch of times, but I just want to confirm a few things re: table numbers for the ladies who used Fox Hollow's frames:1) they are gold and 4x6, correct? (All rooms have the same ones, right? I am in the WGP)
2) They were big enough, correct?
3) They will put my numbers into the frames with no problem, right? I am thinking about making them and glueing them onto cardboard so that they are sturdy, etc, and giving them to the fox hollow when i hand over all my things....
TIA!

Yeah I was looking into this but wasnt sure. I would love to know if anyone has done it. I'm in the Briar fox and was concerned about space.

I guess I have to call now! I don't want to make it too soon though, because I am not sure I am going to be ready to make decisions. I cannot make any lately. What do you do in this meeting again? Besides linens, cake and menu?

You don't even have to do the linens, do any special requests, (gluten free, etc), pick the menu and cake.

Not sure I understand your answer ... if we don't do any of that, what do we do in the meeting?

I misspoke - you don't have to do the linens, BUT you DO the special requests, menu, cake....

Ok sorry. Linens I think I can decide on now - maybe even the other things - but what else is there in this meeting? Anything? I guess I need to reach to my parents and FH's to see if there are any special dietary needs in the families - how do you even know? I am not calling everyone!

If there were severe dietary issues that you would have to worry about - you would know. Someone would've told you on the RSVP cards.
The only ones we worried about was Dave's mom - SEVERELY wheat & gluten allergic. Any diabetic meals are an easy fix, etc...
I can't remember what else is in the meeting....generic things - like giving your vendor information, etc...(be sure to type up the vendors - they appreciate it greatly)..
