Hi, Everyone!
I am also getting married in 2007. We decided to have our wedding at West Sayville Country Club (The Meadowedge).
My father worked for the golfcourse for many years and we know that this will be filled with special memories. My father passed away due to cancer in 1996. When I am at the golfcourse I feel that he is there.
They just renovated 'The Medowedge' and it is beautiful. It is also perfect pricewise.
We are looking forward to a beautiful autumn 2007 wedding. I hope to chat to all of you soon.

Jericho Terrace $99 non negotioable? I just wanted to let you know that every price is negotiable. Trust me, try it. Tell them you are going with whoever gives you the cheapest price.
My date was a Sunday in August but they offered it to me at $60 or $55 I cant remember. I talked them down at least $15pp.

Dont ever take the first price they give you. You CAN get it down much lower.

Sat night at East Winds Country Gardens in summer $59
Timberpoint - I believe was $55
Windows on the lake and beach club estate I believe was $55...

talk talk talk them down. It works - just try it.

I was quoted $55 pp plus tax and gratuity for the Swan Club in January 2006. The Riviera also quoted me the same as the Swan Club. Milleridge Inn quoted me about $80 pp including tax and gratuity for the 2 star menu for January 2006.

This is my first time on this websight and I am soooooooo excited!!! I have learned so much alreday!!!

Here is a list of prices I recieved from the places I saw so far... I hope this helps.

By the Way, most of these are all for Sat Afternoon Weddings, b/c most places have crazy min. on Sat night like 200 guest... and i only have 100-125... I say only like its nothing... It won't be only when we are paying for it.

Villa Lombardis- $95 am

Woodbury Country Club-$85 am

Fox Hollow- $78 am

Westbury Manor- $83 am

Swan Club $65 for am $85 for pm

Carltun on the Sound- $110 am and $125 pm

The Village Club at Lake Sucess- $160 pm

Sans Souci- $100-$125 am and $120-135 pm

The Woodlands of Woodbury- $145 am (this is my fav so far)

The De Seversky Center- I read online that it is $140- I have an appt on Sat, I think this will be my favorite place...

Went to see timber point country club in great river today. It was really nice, especially the outdoor CH area. One wedding at a time. Saturday night in Oct. 07 was like $95 pp. And extras were at a really good price. So if anyone was considering looking there, its worth it. I spoke to April, she was really helpful.... So good luck to everyone on their search. :)

I got prices for $78 for AM, and $95 for PM...
Hope this helps! But... 1 thing... I dont' know how many people you are having... If they are going to give you the Winter Garden Pavilion... My FH and I loved this room, but he dance floor is the size of a peanut really only about 15-20 people could dance... and it woudl be tight... This room holds between 100-125 so they say...

Hey Ladies,
I went to the North Ritz Club last week on Tues.,
June 2007 with pretty much everything would run about $170 (tax/grat. included). I think it was pretty, but didn't go crazy over it. The cocktail room is beautiful and very spacious. One event at a time. The grounds were nice, but I thought they were going to be much bigger.
The BM we spoke w/ seemed very nervous. I'm not sure why though. It would have definitely worked towards our advantage if we wanted to book.
The reception room is beautiful also, but I personally felt that it didn't fit what I wanted.
Another important thing to mention is that they don't allow fog/bubble machines. I don't care about the bubble's, but I know for a fact that I want smoke. The bathrooms were nice...but I didn't like the fact that they were in the basement.
As far as the menu, I wasn't to crazy about what they offered. But remember I come from a huge Italian family...so with food I need to be beyond picky.

I am actually an 'o6 bride, but I saw this topic and wanted to let you all know about Hamlet WIllow Creek in Mount Sinai. It jsut opened up in April (so everything is brand new) and it is very affordable - we are paying $85 p/p for a Friday night in July. I am not sure if they are raising the prices (b/c it really is very cheap for the quality and amount you get in the package) and the place is beautiful. It is on a golf course...I just can't say enough about the place. I know a member of a wedding band who played there and someone who went to a wedding there and they raved about it. The food is delicious and being that they are new and want their name out there, they are very willing to accomodate you. It's definitely worth checking out. Good luck in your search!

I also just booked Land's End (last night actually). I went to a wedding there 2 years ago and fell in love with the place, especially because it's ONE WEDDING AT A TIME. Everyone will start realizing how important this is and might consider paying extra. Knowing that you'll be sharing YOUR wedding day with another bride. NOT my idea of a perfect day.

ESPECIALLY for anyone thinking about the Woodbury Country club, you SHARE the grounds with another bride!!!! They TRY to cover up with tall bushes, but I don't think they're very successful.

Anyhow, back to Land's End. Anyone else book there? I'm curious to know what prices others got quoted. I am doing October of 2007. I received a quote 0f $130pp plus tax and gratuities, guaranteeing 150 guests or more. The thing was that I could have sworn she quoted me $130pp guaranteeing 125-149 guests. And if I went up to 150 guests or more the price would drop to $125pp plus tax and gratuities.

If there are NY other brides-to-be that have booked Land's End and want to 'compare notes' let me know.
