What about Milleridge cottage or The Maine Maid Inn-have you tried these places? They also have ads in the vendors section-and these 2 have websites

good luck! How many people are you>? I liked the package and price of east windds but they would have put us in the Country Gardens,(we want a black tie 8 hour sat. night affair, so) that wouldn't work for us)Loved Giorgios we didn't go & visit b/c we want a small intimate affair really lux, there min was too high for us.
We want 125 max
good luck!!

Sorry for crashing your boards but I wanted to see how my hall was doing with prices. I booked Giorgios in October 2004 for my October 2006 wedding for a Saturday afternoon and we got it for 89.95+ tax/gratuity. I CANT BELIEVE how much it has gone up since then. GOOD LUCK finding places you love..its worth the $$

Re: Hey Ladies...Let's post reception halls and there prices for 07 as we go on our search?
So, I went to see the Carltun in Eisenhower Park last night. Let's just say when I left I started hysterically crying.
We were quoted $215 pp with a 185 person minimum for Saturday night in September. The afternoon was $150 pp with a 150 person minimum. I absolutely loved it! It was exactly what I envisioned my cocktail area/patio to be. But it's completely out of my price range! My fi and I had our hearts set on our date and having the wedding at night. He won't budge on moving it to the afternoon and I don't like the idea of having it in the afternoon, but I guess I'd be willing to have it in the afternoon just to have it there and more in our price range.
The Harrison House: For Saturday night on our date it was $185 pp with a 175 person minimum. Still out of our price range, but that one is now the second one on our list after the Carltun.
I also saw the De Seversky Mansion on Saturday and we were quoted $140 pp, 100 person minimum plus $1500 site fee for Sat night.
That's the latest... going to see the Garden City Hotel (per mom's wish) and the Woodlands this weekend.

Ohh honey I'm so sorry
What about changing your date to off peak? What about Carlton on the Sound? How many peple are you?
Good luck, I feel for you. We wanted Oct. but that's a peak month and Nov. is much cheaper so we're going to do NOV(we hope) at night sticking to the menu no extras, (the menu is very nice, still have to taste) but it's $115pp before tax & tip
Oct would have been $135
April would have ben $125
These are all Sat night prices

Re: Hey Ladies...Let's post reception halls and there prices for 07 as we go on our search?
Thank you, Soon2BeMrs.SBut we like our date (significant) so we'd like to keep it. I know it's in the middle of peak, but I guess we should have known what we were getting ourselves into!!!
I'm sure we'll find a great place we love just as much, but I guess I'm just feeling down in the dumps because the places that we've been looking at lately are so $$$

Jericho Terrace $99 non negotioable? I just wanted to let you know that every price is negotiable. Trust me, try it. Tell them you are going with whoever gives you the cheapest price.
My date was a Sunday in August but they offered it to me at $60 or $55 I cant remember. I talked them down at least $15pp.
Dont ever take the first price they give you. You CAN get it down much lower.
Sat night at East Winds Country Gardens in summer $59
Timberpoint - I believe was $55
Windows on the lake and beach club estate I believe was $55...
talk talk talk them down. It works - just try it.
timberpoint quoted me for my october 06 wedding over $115 pp!
