Chad did the same thing to me when my fiance and I went in there. He told me if I didnt book right away my date would be gone. Then when I went with another hall, he called to see if I was still interested. When I told him I booked Terrace on the Park, he quickly dismissed me and basically told me 'good luck' and hung up. I am so glad I chose elsewhere, even though JT is beautiful
I can't believe the same thing happened to you. It just seems that all they view us as another pay check. They never called me after I left that day. I'm getting married at Venetian Yacht Club which was taken over by Terrace on the Park
You ladies are funny!
I had my heart set on JT and it WAS NOT a good experience AT ALL!!! I was actually shocked at how they treated us!

Re: Hey Ladies...Let's post reception halls and there prices for 07 as we go on our search?
OK so you all know that we've been going crazy searching for the perfect place to have our ceremony & reception...We've searched the gamet!!! I'm looking in to restaurants in the city.
I manage a restaurant in Jericho, it's a beautiful restaurant. Someone asked me about having the wedding here. At first I laughed it off, Now I'm thinking about it....
I can close the restaurant to the public for a Saturday, (The man that owns the restaurant is the same man that's giving me away ) I know the quality of the food. All our liquor is top shelf.
I want our puppies to be in the ceremony & I don't think that would present a problem (I still have to check it out.
It will cost alot less than catering halls, and we will then really be able to affored a house before the wedding.
Please let me know what you think, I have pic's of the restaurant on our webpage but there are 360 tours on Newsday.com -local search - restaurants key word Brindisi.
Thanks ladies once we figure out where
to be wed we will have won half the battle

Still not sure of the date if we have a Sat, after 7:00 (when we go Upstairs for the reception,) it would open to the public,
if we have it on a Sunday we would close it to the public....
decisions decisions.... but at least I don't have to worry about our date (still unsure) being avabile

Re: Hey Ladies...Let's post reception halls and there prices for 07 as we go on our search?
we booked russo's on the bay for 10/11/07 its a thursday night but we loved it and couldnt make the 200p minimum needed for a fri-sun. so we figured a thursday night gives people an excuse to make a 3 day weekend and with more than 2 years notice(uggh still so far away
) i figure if they want to be there they will be.and on top of that we got a good price for going to thursday $75/head although we would have had even better if we hadnt waited so long to book it our first price quote 8-12 months earlier was $67.50 how stupid i was not to book then but parents in different states wanting to be involved is crazy
but it seems like a good tip overall to say that if you cant afford or make the room minimum for a weeked try thursday

I liked the space a lot and the prices were extremely reasonable. I didn't like that you couldn't see the water from the cocktail hour room downstairs. They're also doing contruction on the outside, so I didn't want to book anything when I didn't know how it was going to look.
Good luck!
