Here are mine!

- Search engine- I have also searched for words that I know are there, but couldn't get the right searches

- I would love a honeymoon board

- RESIZING PICTURES, RESIZING PICTURES, RESIZING PICTURES!! I can't express this enough. It also sucks when you post something and you just get the notice that the picture didn't resize and while you are dealing with it, ten people right- 'no pic'


-I also hate it when people ask for phone numbers, etc.... they are so easy to find out!

- I don't like it that vendors can read these boards. I am very selective of what I write because of that.

-also I don't like when people put other people down. Its just not nice. You can disagree- but there is a difference between disagreeing and putting someone down.

As for NWR- it doesn't really bother me. Someone mentioned a post I put on a few weeks ago about losing my pet. You all were so helpful and wonderful- It meant so much to me! In retrospect- it was wedding related- because I had such a hard time in the planning.

I agree about putting other people down. Sometimes when I post I can not tell if people are being sarcastic or being funny.

*You mean to subscribe to receiving FM, as you do when you receive a response to a post? That option it available. Go to My Account, and check the Email me when I get new Forum Mail option under Account Info.

**You can narrow down the search now. When this post 1st started, I asked about that, too, and LIW delivered. You can now put in a search word, and a member's name, and it comes out for you.

Hope that eases the LIW experience now.

You know whats been bothering me since I have been on LIW?? It may sound silly but I still dont know all of the abbreviations and what they mean...there should be a glossery or something LOL

The yearly boards HAVE TO GO. They make absolutely no sense. Yeah its great to talk to people in your timeframe... but is it really that necessary to have your own board?

Plus... what if somebody's wedding is say January 10th. They belong on the '05 board... but they are reading posts about weddings in May/June... 6+ months away. Makes no sense. Stuff gets constantly reposted.... and for somebody that doesn't have the time to read through three 'BHB' boards... they may miss some good information.

If you want a forum for your 'specific time'... the only real forum that should be needed is a 'crunch time' forum... like one for people getting married in three months or sooner. Thats also a forum you would never have to update or delete like the yearly forums.


Plus.. im with the others that get annoyed over the 'repost from XXXXX boards'. There is no need to have your topic all over the site. I actually saw one girl once post the same topic in three separate forums (Home, NWR, BHB). Come on now. I am also surprised on how liberal the site admins are to allowing this. On any other forum... duplicate threads are extremely frowned upon and would have been immediately merged or removed.

IMO peoples comments on this thread are not to be thought of as etiquette but rather just a vent.
I am a big Name poster, yes it annoys some people but oh well. They will get over it, just like i will get over the things that annoy me

You are so right. When I first started here I would read LOL! and I thought how nice everyone was. I mentioned to my daughter that girls are sending 'Lots of Love' to eachother and she laughed hystericallyat me.

Let me preface my potentially harsh tirade by saying I generally love the boards, and I rather enjoy a little drama sometimes-keeps things interesting. And I think it is wedding related-this whole process is drama.

I really hate when people ask for your opinion on a flower/shoe/bead color and ask: Should I pick this pale pink, paler pink, very pale pink, or almost pink. Wha?! Just pick one!Sorry, it irks me when people need to consult the boards for
EVERY SINGLE LITTLE DECISION in their wedding (and sometimes in their personal lives too!) Yes, it is a tool, but I don't think i should be a substitution for interacting with people in your life, whos faces you can see, and whose opinions you value as well.

Brides who use the phrase 'It's my day' as an excuse to act completely childish and allow themselves to go on long tirades about what other people MIGHT wear to their wedding or do at the wedding, or bring to the wedding, or say at the wedding... There is a point when you have to let go-you do not have control over everything and everyone.

I too find it annoying when people say they have 100 posts left until addicted. Then I know they are just posting all these all over the place to reach 1,000.

Thanks for the semi-vent, I had a bad day and that made me feel better for some reason.

Venting is good.

My pet peeve. Well lately threads that invite a certain group (Latina Brides, October Brides, etc – not to name names really just an example) then sorta of exclude someone by ignoring all their post contributions. I try to include everyone in my threads. It’s only fair.

TY TY!! That is definitley the worst. 'Do you like my dress?' And they are wearing the dress. What are we going to say..I mean honestly. Do you want me to reply 'Yes you are fat' or 'Looks like crap'?? Cause I will!
Of course we are going to say its beautiful. I hate people who toot their own horns. I posted a pic of my e-party album. I love it and thought it was unique. If someone said it was ugly, I would reply..yes it is, I wish it was purple!!!

I just hate when people are outright mean to each other and ignore posts that people have made. We all come here for help!

i LOVE the yearly boards, esp cause on the 05 board, you dont have to worry about if you are posting something that is NWR just because you know it gets more exposure there.

I have to say i am guilty of posting a RESTAURANTS FOR MY RD...i am not being lazy, just being out of state and dont want to get a nasty restaurant!

overall though, i love being able to post here and get feed back from ya'll.

I have to agree with this one or when there is wedding stuff on the NWR board. My biggest pet peeve is when people use the internet to butcher the English language (sorry it's the teacher in me) I can't stand seeing 'b' used for be and 'u' used for you. To me little kids write like that not grown adults. Typos are one thing, I do that all the time! I am talking about writing things like that one purpose.

how can you tell they're fake?

I got FM the other from a vendor-- that p*ssed me off.. Like we don't get enough crap in the mail and emailed to us from registering on the site-- THAT'S MY PET PEEVE-- spam and junkmail!!

Sorry for the all caps- I just had that epiphany..

They can be extremely obvious to very slick...
But they are the ones that ALWAYS talk about the same vender over and OVER...And then when you do a search of their posts most of them are about a specific vender....
