and btw.. I do not remember 'opting in' to receiving all that crap.. it's illegal.

Between this and the one bridal expo I went to.. forget it.. 'The Pro's' are the worst-- they stalk me.

See this is where my good computer knowledge comes in handy.

I happily gave LIW a nice fake email address when I registered... knowing I would probably get flooded with crap from vendors.

They didn't get my real phone number either.

Now if I can just stop the snail mail from coming to my apartment.. then that would be all good. My mailman must be getting pissed cause the stuff is addressed to my FI's name... but I am the one that owns the apartment. Hehehehehe.

Ok, I guess I can place my vent here. This is a general vent. WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME?!?!? I have not had THAT many posts on this site, but I will say, I have had VER FEW replies to my posts. I see other posts get double digit replies. I know my wedding is July 2006, but I still have questions and want feedback. Not everyone can help, but I don't know, maybe it's just me. I feel lost in this Wedding Wordl Jungle!

I know what you mean-- but think about how you look through posts-- you don't always have an answer.. so, I guess sometimes people feel that way--

I sometimes get more than others.. Also, I am new-- a week and a half but have posted a lot.. I think it takes a while for people to recognize you-- this is really a tight knit online community--

We booked the church this past Monday and are booking the hall this weekend. Now what? Wedding is in July 2006.

Band-- I think the second most important part of the day..

Then flowers..

I would also start looking into hotels in the area that you would want to stay at and have yout OOT guests stay at.. then book the room block. I am also have a brunch the next day the hotel- I booked that too..

Those are all the major things--
Then I would start looking at dresses.. Also, since I was not sure what to get for BM gifts and stuff like that- I said to myself- I';ll get something if I see something cool-- I did.. and took care of those like 10 months before the wedding-- IMO- getting stuff like that out of the way saves time when you are in the home stretch..

Start looking at invites too.

Thanks!! I have been thinking about the BM gifts too, thinking of picking up things here and there to stagger the costs. I know what invites I want (never seen them, thought it all up on my own) just need to find someone who does custom invites. As well, I have an idea on the cake too. Speaking of cake, if I want something specific, do I ask now (b4 signing contract) what any additional cost will be?

I would-- like I thought I wanted cupcakes, then they told me it would cost more $$..

Any questions/promises your venue makes-- put it in writing and attach to your contract.

I do that a lot...as a matter of fact I do most of these things a LOT...and really all that bothers me is fake brides(vendors)...

With thousands of people on here, cant make everyone happy- Oh yeah, that may be my peeve...lol!
