Why can't they have their rehearsal AFTER your ceremony? And it's a freaking rehearsal, your church people are being jerks by putting a rehearsal ahead of your wedding, sounds like they just don't want to be bothered.

What about YOUR OOT guests?!??!!?!?

Just before I ordered my invites, I called my priest to confirm my 2:00 ceremony, and he said 'Oh, I can't do a 2:00 ceremony, it needs to be 1:00'
Ummmm, hello, when were you going to TELL ME THAT?!?!?!?!?! And ALL of my guests were OOT!!!

OMG!!! Huge inconvenience to the other bride??? Excuse me but hers is a rehearsal....yours is a WEDDING!!!!!! Just because the person at the church couldn't write down the correct information, you may have to pay $500 for invitations? If so, the church should give your $$ back. I'm so sorry you are going through this.

seriously... put your foot down on this. The words, 'This is unacceptable' are VERY powerful. YOUR INVITATIONS ARE PRINTED. THEY MADE THE MISTAKE. You should NOT have to send out NEW or CORRECTED invitations, and for them to think it's an option is outrageous. They can apologize to the other bride and let her know that they have to move her rehearsal because they inadvertently scheduled the wrong time for a wedding. Don't ASK her... TELL her. It's THEIR mistake. You shouldn't have to suffer. How would the other bride like it if this happened on HER wedding day?

I forgot to mention...the Church woman had the audacity to say to me 'if we can't change anything, then you just put a letter with your invites that say 'Oops, our mistake! Time is changed!'' I was about to jump thru the phone and kick her azz!!!

I don't even understand why she is making such a big deal for a rehearsal to begin with.........

Just like she TOLD you, she should TELL the rehearsal, sorry your rehearsal is pushed back an hour.....it's really a no-brainer.

Well the problem is this now....

my wedding is supposedly booked for 5pm. There is a rehearsal booked for 6:30pm and then another rehearsal at 7:15pm. After that, there's a Mass at 8pm.

So in essence, the 6:30pm rehearsal would have to move to 5pm, my Wedding would start at 6pm and then move onto the other rehearsal at 7:15pm. It all lies in the 6:30pm rehearsal bride. If she's willing to change to 5pm, we should be okay. GOD - PLEASE LET THIS WOMAN HAVE A HEART AND CHANGE HER REHEARSAL TIME! Pray for me girlies!

Well the problem is this now....

Do you guys think my vendors would have a problem moving up an hour should this not work out??? I would have to change the photographer, videographer, DOC, hair, makeup, limo, and flowers. Do you think it'll be a big deal?

I spoke to the Church lady this morning and she said that she called the other bride to see if she is willing to move her rehearsal time but made sure she added that it was 'a huge inconvenience for the other bride because she may have OOT guests that will now have to leave earlier to be here'. She can bite me! I'm still waiting to see if it can be done. If not, I'm stuck with either invites with a crappy correction insert or having to spend another $500 on new invites!!!

Like it's not inconvenient for you and YOUR WEDDING!!! And if they make you move it (which they shouldn't), they should either pay for your invites or waive their ridiculous mandatory donation. I'm sorry that you have to deal with this.

Thanks to the girl(s) that emailed Rosalie to tell her what was going on. I felt so uncomfortable asking her for something like this but she just emailed me and offered to call the Church. She's so awesome! I hope she can make better progress than I did!!!
