Thanks to the girl(s) that emailed Rosalie to tell her what was going on. I felt so uncomfortable asking her for something like this but she just emailed me and offered to call the Church. She's so awesome! I hope she can make better progress than I did!!!

I'm sure it will work out fine, it just sounds like the church lady was just being a pain in the butt!

wow the other bride couldnt even wait and do it after your wedding... im sure there is someone above the lady who you have been speaking with that can probably do something... if i were u i would go there in person with ur invitations so they can see that you all ready have everything printed that say 5pm... shead some tears as well... someone has to be able to do something

When FH and I booked the Church, we told them it would be 5pm or 6pm Mass and she said that was fine because no one else would be getting married after us. I have everything set for a 6pm Mass, I just called to confirm our officiant and low and behold she has us down for 5pm and cant change it because there's a rehearsal after us! I'm freaking out because we just had the invitations completed and they all say 6pm!!!! FH is freaking out on me now and screaming that we will have to pay another $500 for the new invites! I just called the woman at the rectory again to see if there's any way they could change the time because the invites are done already! I'm waiting for a call back. I need prayers and hugs girls!

ETA: I spoke to the Church lady this morning and she said that she called the other bride to see if she is willing to move her rehearsal time but made sure she added that it was 'a huge inconvenience for the other bride because she may have OOT guests that will now have to leave earlier to be here'. She can bite me! I'm still waiting to see if it can be done. If not, I'm stuck with either invites with a crappy correction insert or having to spend another $500 on new invites!!!

ETA: Ok, the other bride has no heart! She's not willing to switch!!! I have to stick to 5pm! I'm so angry right now you have no idea! I hope it rains on her wedding day!

OMG you have got to be kidding me. I am so sorry!!! People can be so mean and rude.

I seriously doubt the other bride has no heart. My guess is they didn't bother to ask her.

I spoke to the lady at the Church this morning and she said she hadn't heard back from the other bride yet because her Mom was in the hospital and she had to talk to her out OOT bridal party attendants. Turns out there is 1 flying in and arriving at 4:30pm and can't make a 5pm rehearsal. My life *****...

I just would NOT, EVER send out a correction to the invites. And to SPEND that EXTRA MONEY to RE-DO them should NOT be out of YOUR pocket. The Church should at the VERY least not take any $$ from you for the ceremony. I'm really glad I'm not getting married there... I would be SOOO pissed. Heck, I AM pissed FOR you! I'll CALL FOR YOU!

well, a rehearsal is a whole lot of nothing, anyway. I was late for an out of town rehearsal by about 20 minutes, and I just got caught up by another bridal party member. It's not like the OOT guest will be late for the WEDDING. That bride has no heart. I'm SOOO aggravated about this! Did Rosalie call?

Hey, flights get delayed. Would she really have made a 6 p.m. rehearsal??? They really should make the rehearsal later then. Geez.

There's another rehearsal after that one. For all the $$ your church is making off all these weddings, YOURS should be free. Make up for the reprinted invites (I wouldn't even let it get to that point, even if it meant KEEPING it 6pm, whether they like it or not. Hey... that's an idea! What are they going to do? NOT marry you if you get there at 6?)

I believe so. I haven't talked to her since yesterday when we emailed each other. I appreciate her efforts but obviously it didn't make a difference. I'm just going to call my vendors tomorrow morning and just let them know that they have to arrive an hour earlier. no big deal. what kills me is that i wanted to send my invites first week of april and now i'll be delayed because i have to order new ones. i can just see this screwing up my next 3 months of planning...

Thats not right, I don't understand why a rehearsal takes prescedence over a wedding.... You should make the other bride pay for new invites!! You should come to the church in your wedding dress the hour before and ruin her rehearsal. What a beyotch.
