Question for you girls...

I need to know:

Do they provide a cake stand for the cake
Can we just use the toasting flutes they have there for the toast?
Do they provide a cake cutting knife

Neither of us think it's that important to have our own flutes or knife, unless we get them for the shower. I just don't want it to be another thing I need to look for and buy. Thanks girls.

When you meet with Thomas from Audreys tell him you want the cake stand.

I dont see why you cant use their toasting flutes, I told them i was bringing my own glasses and knife, but i'm sure they will provide you w/ them.

k, just wanted to make sure, thanks!

Re: NEW official Flowerfields thread

We finalized everything at Flowerfield this weekend. The beautiful mocha linens are slected and the menu is all set to go. I am getting so excited now! It's only a bit over two months away! AHHH!

As for tipping, my awesome parents said they would take care of it. It's my understanding that it is NOT included, I believe the going rate is $3-6 per guest.

Re: NEW official Flowerfields thread

I don't think his tip is included. Iam going to finalize with Carolyn next week!! so I will let you know, you can always e-mail them.

BTW - the tasting was incredible!!! except for one waitress who was extremely rude to my mother and I am requesting that she not be a server at my wedding, I do not know if you can do that, but I am.

I get the chills everytime I walk in there!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: NEW official Flowerfields thread

Did you enjoy the tasting? We had a lovely time. I thought the food was amazing! I'm shocked that you had a rude waitress. We had a very nervous man serving us. His hands were shaking when he was pouring us wine. He was SO cute because he was trying SO hard to be polite.

Re: NEW official Flowerfields thread

What did they serve at the tasting you attended? I'm wondering if it was the same as ours.

Re: NEW official Flowerfields thread

I have my final planning meeting with Carolyn next week!!! Oh my god, you must be shaking to give a final count!!!

we are choosing the filet mignon, pork chop (it was amazing), and i think the shrimp and lobster crepe - I'm not sure if i should go with that or the salmon - the crepe was excellent and we didn't taste the salmon, i just keep thinking you can get salmon anywhere, but more people probably like it. I just keep thinkning about what I want to eat - and I would want the crepe - alhtough I doubt i will sit long enough to eat, but if i went to a wedding and saw that as an option, i would pick that.

Any thoughts?

What drinks are you having passed at the cocktail hour???

Not freaking out yet...just have a lot to do before the wedding...we are having apple martinis, cosmos, champagne, tropical drinks and our signature drink passed...have to work on that this wknd. We chose: swordfish, filet and pork chop!

Re: NEW official Flowerfields thread

If you are a fish person the Thai halibut is out of this world. We choose it for our menu. I wasn't going to have any red meat...but FH's family is starting to hassle him. I may have to add the filet mignon to the entree list...but I refuse to change the cocktail hour...they will just have to deal.

Re: NEW official Flowerfields thread

It's soo good to see that not alot of people picked the Chicken, that they went more towards the Pork Chop. I was so scared when we made our menu, but Florinda really leaned me towards the Pork Chop b/c she said its out of this world (which it is) and that people usually get the steak and fish so its something different.

Re: NEW official Flowerfields thread

What is everyone doing about the salad? Are you having it preset on the table when guests walk in or waiting to hand serve it? The little things you have to think about!!!!
It's a question on the forms you need to complete before your final meeting.

we aren't having salad we are doing the lobster w/ cous cous dish..but we asked if it could be served when people sit down, not have it when they walk in. HTH
