Re: *~* November Is Our Month *~*
I got an email that my invites did indeed arrive!!!
All i need to do now is gather the last few missing addresses so I can get the computerized calligraphy done...I'm aiming to get the addresses to the invitation lady by next weekend.
I also need to finalize the design and wording of the direction cards and get those printed sometime in August. Also need to finalize the church program designs, table numbers and possibly even menus...these too can be done by mid-to-late August.
I still need to get parent gifts and a gift for my RB, all other bridal party gifts have been bought.
Both mothers need to find their dresses...I'll take them both around late July/early August.
And I can't decide what to do for hair & make-up

Re: *~* November Is Our Month *~*
So happy to see everyone's making progress with their planning!!I'm probably going to take these photos down, but I wanted to share my dress fitting pictures with my November girls. I almost didn't make the appointment on time.... had car trouble & took a detour to my mechanic, dress in a bag in the backseat, heat & humidity frizzing up my hair. That big to-do list I posted.... well, I got only 2 things done that day, the fitting & stamps for invitations.
The seamstress was really sweet and helpful. I couldn't decide on bustles, just knew I didn't want the poofy style (french?). I wanted to preserve as much of the lace at the bottom as possible, so she did a ballroom bustle. I didn't want to take the dress off!!!
I'm not crazy about how my arms look, so I'm debating those detachable cap sleeves to match. What do you think?
Since FH is away on business for the weekend & won't be peeking over my shoulder, here are a few pics...... forgive the crazed look in my eyes... I was trying to get a clear picture and didn't realize I'd look like that!
ETA: pics taken down so FH doesn't see them

Love your dress, the lace, the bustle & how you look in the dress! I wouldn't have noticed your arms if you hadn't mentioned them...I'm not a fan of cap sleeves to begin with, so I say you don't need them. But if it'll make you feel more comfortable and confident in your dress, then go for it.
Thanks for sharing the photos! I can't believe you're already doing fittings...my dress hasn't even arrived yet!

Thanks so much! I'm not a fan of cap sleeves either, just wasn't sure about my arms. I thought July was a little early too, but when I bought my dress they said since there's so much lace and a lot of work to hem, come in earlier. So I did. Now after the fact, I'm rethinking it, but oh well!
