hi girls.. i went to do the menu on monday night..everything went well - changed a few things - but im happy about it.. but not so happy - i have to go to the bakery to show the cake i like.. any opinions about campbells or black forest.. which one should i go to??

I ordered mine from black forrest. Its right down the street. Honestly I believe his name was Tom, told me I couldnt have what Nick said I could have.. so I told Nick and the day of my wedding I got exactly what I wanted!!

Blackforest has been very easy to work with so far.

Did anyone NOT go to the bakery for a tasting? We just picked from the book Nick had and told him our flavors... is that okay???

In all honesty I used black forrest but they were a bit rude and they would not let me taste anything.

ETA: I went to the bakery just to look at their book because they had more pics than Nicks.

I had the opposite experience. Tom 'offered' to make us a mini cake a few weeks before wedding so we could taste it. I just never called to get it becuase I knew from word that their cakes taste great. He has always been very friendly to me.

yea he didnt even introduce himself to us ...just sat down and said ok what do you want.

He did say the only thing that is extra is the fondant or like extra additions like fudge shells, butterflies, fresh flowers etc

Ok thanks girls! I feel better about not tasting now... i've heard they do a great job anyway. We just don't have the time!

Still waiting for 60 RSVPs... yes 60!!!!!!!!! Looks like we'll be on the phone all weekend since we need to have our seating done in 1 week.

Yes! We have tall glass vases we are going to fill with water and put a floating candle at the top.

im going to go to black forest - i just want something simple and lou didnt understand my description - i rather speak to the backery anyway..

CH room - CLM gives votives.. and my florist said they will put pink rose petals on the tables.. nothing fancy..

Hi Girls,

Just wanted to pop on before we leave for the honeymoon and tell you that my wedding last night at Chateau La Mer was amazing! All of my guests were raving about the decor, the food and the service. Nick was incredible- very organized and he opened up our cocktail hour 20 minutes early because most of my guests went straight from the church and arrived earlier than planned. Monika the bridal attendant was so attentive and seemed to be right beside me whenever I needed anything. I will post a full review when I return but I wanted you all to know how great CLM was. I really can't describe how perfect everything was- it was a magical day. More to come when we return from Hawaii on 6/2
