Re: Official Chateau La Mer '06 Thread!

Ladies, do the vendors actually sit IN the room? Do we have a vendor table on the seating chart?

Re: Official Chateau La Mer '06 Thread!

The vendors sit in the room on a table in the back. Although I don't remember seeing it on the chart, but maybe Nick adds it in later.

Re: Official Chateau La Mer '06 Thread!

Thanks for the answer Cindy

I had a question re: tipping maitre d'--originally it was in our contract $300. but then when I did my menus w/ Nick he had some other paper & crossed out the maitre d tipping section saying, I don't have to tell you, you're a LIW girl. It also suggested at least $50 for Monika (these prices I think are more than fair & are a suggestion)

Has anyone NOT hit their minimum....did CLM work w/ you?

Re: Official Chateau La Mer '06 Thread!

Cin, does that mean that they don't expect $300 as the Maitre' D fee? I was going to pay the fee but not add a tip on top of that. Plus, I would tip the bridal attendant $100 if she does a good job, which I'm sure she will.

I'm also worried about the minimum.

One of my BM just got engaged last weekend in Miami! She & her fh looked at Chateau La Mer & loved it! They are going to some tasting next week & most likely will be booking...but not until 2007

She will soon be a new member on Li Weddings!

That's great Kelly! All the CLM girls will be at that tasting. We are having a GTG there. Tell her to stop by!

Oh, really...when?? I am meeting with Nick on thursday nigth at 8:30

Re: Official Chateau La Mer '06 Thread!

I'm also wondering about the maitre d fee because Nick told us it was $300 and included in our final payment but I'm not sure what to tip on top of that. Any suggestions?

Re: Official Chateau La Mer '06 Thread!

Yea I don't get if the $300 is his tip & then he expects the $$$ on top of that or how that works.

In the paper he had it said they usually get $150-2.00 per person (I believe)

Re: Official Chateau La Mer '06 Thread!

Hi girls, sorry to intrude but I miss CLM and wedding planning!!

Our cake was from Black Forest and it was DELICIOUS!! We did everything through Nick, brought him in a pic and told him what we wanted. We used their website (Black Forest's) for guidance.

As for the matire'd tip, it was in our contract and nothing was said about it being included in the final payment.... We had Nick as our maitre'd and he did so much for us we gave him $500 (figured the $300 was included and just tipped on top of that).

Yes, the vendors sit in the room, at a table in the back on the opposite side of the bar.

Any other questions- please feel free to ask!!
