Re: The first official Venetian Yacht Club aka VYC thread...

We've got a while to plan, so i think we're going to try to stay at the new hotel. We don't really have that many OOT guests--but everyone still wants to stay at the hotel for the party afterwards and the brunch the next morning

Re: The first official Venetian Yacht Club aka VYC thread...

Sorry for the million posts today! I was just wondering---what are all your thoughts with seating for the cocktail hour...I don't think I've spoken to daisy about that, did any else talk about whether they do seating for everyone, or just half?

Re: The first official Venetian Yacht Club aka VYC thread...

Yes, us VYC Brides seem to be dominating the boards today!

Well when I was there on Friday for my Food tasting, he showed us the CH room. (the larger room downstars, there was PLENTY of seating if you are having it in the large room. There are tables set all around the room for seating, the big tables. And on the other side of the room were the bar is, they had about 8 high cocktail tables for standing, so I would say there is PLENTY of seating, not to mention people will probably stroll out to the balcony (weather permitting)

Re: The first official Venetian Yacht Club aka VYC thread...

Hello ladies!!

I am also a VYC bride and will be getting married on the 23rd. My experience with them has been nothing but spectacular. I've been working with Daisy. She is the absolute best. AND I just spoke to her and I will be the only event that day. I am so happy. I will let you all know how it goes. I am a little nervous about the weather. It's getting so chilly and we are having our ceremony on the patio. Let's pray for sunshine!!!

Their cake is amazing! My sister just got married at Land's End and they use Audrey's too. She got a chocolate cake with vanilla pudding filling. It was sooooo good.

I think I'm going to look into getting gold gold ribbbons and tying them to the back of the chairs---I just think the chairs are so pretty that I don't want to cover them entirely!!

Everyone who has the place to themselves, did you guys have to pay extra for that?? o

The chairs are my favorite!!

We have the place to ourselves and we didn't have to pay extra. I think it depends upon the amount of people, we're having about 250 people.

There is more than enough room to seat everyone at the cocktail hour, we'll definitely have seating for everyone. That is one big pet peeve of mine, you're wearing a beautiful dress (outfit) you have a big dish of food in your hands and no where to sit. How classy to be eating on some ledge!

Which room you are using for what? I'm using the downstairs area (both rooms) for our cocktail hour and having the reception upstairs.

Us too! Our families are huge, so we needed both sides of the downstairs and the upstairs room.

Re: The first official Venetian Yacht Club aka VYC thread...

I am really excited to see that there are so many VYC brides out there... When I first went there none of the renovations were complete... they have far surpassed many of my expectations already...
I am having my CH downstairs and the reception upstairs...
I did not do a food tasting but I did pick out my menu already...
I can't wait to hear about the upcoming weddings there!!

Re: The first official Venetian Yacht Club aka VYC thread...

For everyone who is having the reception in the upstairs room...how many people do you expect to come? I like the upstairs room much better, but I'm only going to have about 175 people so I thought that room would look too empty.

Re: The first official Venetian Yacht Club aka VYC thread...

Hey gals!

I popped in VYC today to show my mom seeing as she was in town for the Bridal EXTRAVAGANZA!

Anyhoo, I snapped a few shots - basically they are the same but they happened to have the outside set up for a ceremony if anyone is having theirs there....so I had to share with my fellow VYC brides!

Pics in my album....
