LADIES!!!
I'm officially BACK!!
Yay....but not so much cuz work sux
The Fox Hollow was AMAZING!!! We took pictures of everything!!!!!
The food and service were all FANTASTIC!!! Seriously, us and our parents must have gotten phone calls from everyone on our guest list raving about the food and how the waitstaff was so attentive and just how generally awesome everything was. We had Harry (who was amazing) as our Matrie-D and Renee (who was equally amazing) as my bridal attendant.
Any questions please ask....I know the Garden Terrace is a little less popular so I got the goods now for all the potential GT brides![]()
:lol
....I'm super happy!!! YaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaY!!
Congrats sweetie! Are you going on a honeymoon? When and where?
Thank you!!
We're not going on one just yet. I took a bunch of days off work so that we could relax and just hang together and that was fun but since we may be moving VERY soon we decided to wait until we are settled to go on a honeymoon.
Congrats on the move! New apt or a house???

has anyone used PWP for invitations? HOw were their prices in comparison to other place?
Ok so I ordered my invites through PWP and they were BEAUTIFUL! I love them. They do give you a discounted rate and if you spend more than a certain amount of $$ you get a certificate towards upgrades. My only suggestion, make sure you double check and go over everything!!! I had to request (and pay for) a 2nd proof because there were so many errors on the 1st one. Also, when my invitations came in...they were wrong! Not the wording, but the layering. I ended up loving them and kept them anyway. They did everything they could to correct their error up to and including throwing something else in or reordering my invites for me! So, overall is was a good, somewhat frustrating, but good experience. HTH

I had the same problem with the same person. He was so rude and said no to all my requests that I literally cried in his office. We did give a deposit, but I was not happy. When I got my statement for my second payment, I wanted to speak to someone else before I gave them another check because I was so uneasy. I told the receptionist my situation, told her who I met with the first time. She was so sweet and completely understood. She set me up to speak with Frank. I was honest with him as well and told him I didn't like the way I was treated and I felt like I was just another number and was concerned about that. I also didn't like the no's with no explanations. Frank was great! He was so nice, explained everything to me and told me that if they could accommodate my other requests then they will but they won't know till we get closer to the date. Which works for me.
You are giving them a lot of money, make sure you are happy and deal with who you want to deal with. I'm not surprised how you are feeling after meeting with him. Good luck!

Hmmm.... I am sure it is possible....although it might be a little awkward, b.c then you will have to tell ROn or other people that you didn't feel comfortable w. your previous BM. On the other hand, I guarantee you that Ron will do right by you. Tell him Erika spoke very highly of him. You will see that Ron even adds more elegance to FH...the way he explains everything, the way he shows you the rooms 'Now picture this...on your wedding day... you are walking around...'
Honestly though, the only reason they wont give u / us the Winter garden room instead of the Briar Fox as a CH, is because they have parties going on simultaneously. meaning that if they give you the Winter room, the people having their party in the Briar Fox wont have a room for a coktail hour OR they will have to use the Garden Terrace.... which, as we know....a NO NO. lol
I will be honest w. you when I tell you that there are people who dont like Fox Hollow. NOT b.c of the service or food, but because they are into a different look. The people that dont like Fox Hollow are the people that LOVE Jericho Terrace or Russos on the bay. FH is not gaudy at all, it is a cozy, romantic place to get married.
I hope that your parents will like it as much as you do!!!
I have been to 2 weddings there and both were the best weddings Ive been to. Good Luck!!!

When we saw Fox Hollow I did not like the person who showed us around, but when we went back to sign it was the same guy. My mom and everyone in my family said don't let 1 person take away from everything else you love about the hall. Totally true! It was David who I guess is the director or something like that. He wasn't rude per se, I just got weird vibes from him. My FH was like what are you talking about and didn't even notice it.
I just hope I won't have to deal with him in the future!

Seems like a lot of peolpe have trouble with David. It's surprising he's the director and they let him deal with people. Watch out future Brides, when you go in to check the place out, ask for Frank or Ron.
I started dealing with David, and went back to talk to someone else. They set me up with Frank. David saw me in Franks office too...I had no problems with it after the way I was treated.
David was the one who showed me around and helped work out a contract with me, and he was a pleasure to work with! I also ended up meeting with both Frank and Ron at various times, and I can honestly say everyone was wonderful! I'm sorry to hear some girls have had problems...

David is the person we met with our first day there and basically the guy who absolutely sold us on the Fox. Any questions that we've had since we've booked have actually been answered by him. Sorry to hear that some of you had a bad experience with him. I guess like everything else it just depends on the day.I personally can say though he really has been great to deal with!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
I'll add my 2 cents:I delt mostly with Frank whom I absolutely ADORE!!! Every single time I was in there, even for the simplest of things he treated me like royalty!
We booked with Ron whom I'm not so fond of. He was a little nasty to my dad which I didn't appreciate BUT I never had to deal with him again so no harm, no foul, maybe he was just having a sh!tty day.

Also, to the new ladies, Fox Hollow doesn't assign BM's like most RH's so if you don't like someone that you met with you really don't have to deal with them all the time....or at all, just by simply requesting to see or speak with someone else.

Even though they dont do food tastings (which I find a little odd) I have eaten there at weddings before, and everything is FABULOUS!!!!
I was upset they dont do tastings, but I have heard great things and ate at the restaurant and the food was very good!

post has 2 purposes,
1. Bump from page 2
2. ask this
For girls who just had or are about to have and have decided on menus for the wedding,
Which stations did you go with for the Cocktail Hour? FH and I are starting to think about it, even though it may change, based on what they have available now. I was wondering what you all thought of the stations, which ones rock, which are ok, and which were not that popular.
Thanks in advance
we chose the pan asian station and the french station. And I believe we are having the turkey and the whole fish for the carving stations. I dont recall what pastas we got- prolly the a la voka...
Ill try to do an update after my wedding before we leave for Brazil- but Ill have a lot of people around, so I may not be able to. But I pomise Ill do a full blown review! :)

Thanks for all of your replies ladies--they were VERY helpful!!
We went back to FH yesterday with our parents and unfortunately, both sets of parents DID NOT like the place. I think it has to do with the fact that we couldn't see the GT because it was in use AND because Dave, the BM (who is the Director of Sales there) was kind of curt with us, which REALLY upset me.![]()
Anyhoot, I'm so torn now.....I loved FH the first time around and pictured walking around in my wedding dress but yesterday there were a few things that bothered me. Maybe someone can help ease my nerves about them.
1. The Smell--does anyone else notice a really funky smell when you first walk into Fox Hollow? It smells a little musty? Do they DO anything about it the day of your wedding?
2. The Briar Fox Room--each time I have seen this room it just seems so dark and dreary (and it's been empty both times we've been there). How does it look all 'dressed up'?
Thanks ladies!!![]()
I have never smelled anything there- maybe they had used some sort of cleaner that day or something??
As for the Business Manager, I found that some of them are much morehelpful than others. It is unfortunate, but thats how I think it could be anywhere. But being rude def isn't the way to make a sale!! If you really want to keep trying for Fox Hollow, I think you should go back when you can see the other rooms. And then decide. But def go with your gut and book a place you feel confidant about!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
I guess it depends on kind of day you catch the BM on. I met with David and he was awsome. I stopped by to drop off a deposti, so I met with Frank and asked him something. He flat out lied to me and I had to find out the truth for myself through this wonderful website :) .. And this was a HUGE catastophe. Almost to the point that I would have cancelled my weddign at the FH if it wasnt for David. David was very accomodating and willing to work with me. So in my eyes Frank is a complete @_ _ , but apparantly others view him differently. As with everyone in life, you may get along with certain people that others dont.Welcome New Vendors
