Does anyone know if Fox Hollow will box up our left over wedding cake for us?

Hey all -

The fox hollow boxed up the top of our cake, even brought it over to the hotel next door and literally put it in the freezer for us. I never asked about any additional leftover cake, but I'm sure they would if you asked - other girls have had leftover food boxed up too.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

I believe that they're talking about Woodbury country club. They're not taking dates after '09 because they're moving their location. I remember reading this a while ago. Don't worry...fox hollow is not going anywhere!!

I had extra cake (aside from the top layer) and I also had a vianeasse (sp?)...they boxed up the extra cookies from that, PLUS DH and I didn't eat our entrees so they boxed those up too and brought everything to the hotel for us at the end of the night.

Thank you!! FH's mom is spending a lot of money on our wedding cake and I think I would cry if the leftovers got thrown away if there are any! LOL.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

is anyone else having trouble lately getting responses from emails sent to Fox Hollow? I always hear back so quickly from lindsey- but its been a few days and she hasn't answered any of my emails. Anyone know if she is out this week? Im just getting very stressed with the wedding comming up and ahd a bunch of question I have emailed her and havn't heard back anything... i hope she is getting my emails!

ETA: I just got an email back from jennifer saying that lindsey is on a leave of abscence, so that explains why i hadn't heard from her. Just thought I'd let anyone else who is dealing with her know not to send the emails to her attention anymore.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

How far in advance did you all set your room blocks? we have people from FL, NV and CA who we are inviting, and I want to make sure we have enough hotel rooms blocked for them all. Do you do it one year in advance or a year and a half in advance?

Also, did you find more people wanted to stay at the Inn next door, or go to another hotel that was a little cheaper?

Thanks in advance!!

I would say that you should do whatever you have the opportunity and ability to do whenever you are able to do it. In other words, do things as soon as you can.

I booked my hotel rooms when i had some idea, not a complete idea, mind you, but *some* idea that I would need hotel rooms. You can always change your mind in the upcoming months.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

we blocked ours a year in advance. depending on the time of year your wedding is, you dont get THAT much of a discount, so I've block a very low number at the inn and another block at the executive inn down the road. they are cheaper and offer shutttle service to the FH

I would do it ASAP. I tried booking at the Executive Inn back in Feb and they were booked for my day. Luckily i was able to book at the Best Western. However, all the rooms i blocked have 2 double beds because they dont have any others left.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Since you are getting married in Jan - an off time, and in 2010...I think you should call around summer of 2009.....

it's too early, they won't even know their rates. i had about 50% of people stay at fox hollow and 50% stay at executive. If more people reserve rooms than you block, they still get the discount, as long as the rooms are available. So, for example, I only blocked 10 rooms at EI, but about 19 were taken for my wedding....

I blocked this past January - so about 9 months in advance. A year in advance would be plenty of time. You can try calling now, but they may not allow you to book so ahead of schedule. This time next year should be fine.
