Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Hi ladies! I've been super busy so I'm just checking in to say...

I FINALLY finished my invites!!

My parents said YES! to the cake!!

AND...to add to the conversation, we blocked rooms at the Fox Hollow Inn...they were a pleasure to deal with.

The Inn at Fox Hollow does not charge for giving out OOT boxes. The only thing they ask is to make them all the same. They will not got through them all to find the special one you made for Aunt Sue or each specific guest. If they're all the same, they will give them out.

The Best Western has a free shuttle as well as the Executive Inn. Which hotel is nicer?? I personally like the Best Western since it's a chain and people have heard of it before. I was in the Executive Inn, but was never out of the lobby. We blocked the Best Western and the Inn at Fox Hollow. HTH!!

Thanks Laura!

The rooms will vary in price depending on the season and the day of the week, so you would have to call to find that out. You are asked to block a minimum of 10 rooms and you have to guarantee 70% of what you block. For example, if you block 10 rooms and 7 people book, you're fine. If less than 7 people block, you lose the group rate. That was my understanding of it! HTH

You're welcome!! I would suggest calling to make an appt. The woman Jessica is the only one who handles it and she's not always in. Just call before you head over!!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

I had a question about the Inn at Fox Hollow. Do they have more than one bridal suite? My date twin said that she already booked the bridal suite and I was just wondering if maybe they have another one? I heard all of the rooms are nice so we would still stay there but I was just curious!

edited because I realized the question was about the inn, not about the bridal suites at the Fox Hollow for the ceremony and reception

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

We booked a bridal suite, but there's not much difference between the bridal suite and every other room. I would assume that there is more than one bridal suite since they can do more than 6 or 7 weddings in one weekend!!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

For those of you who have already gotten married, if you were in the WGP, how big was the bridal suite? I remember seeing it when I was looking at the hall, but I dont remember much about it. how many people would it be able to hold? Right now i have 3 BM and a MOH, then me, mom and grandma. Will it be too crowded?

TIA

Did anyone here get married or go to a wedding in the outdoor ceremony area between the hotel and the wedding hall? Was wondering if road noise from Jericho Turnpike was an issue?

I got married in the outdoor area (the one with fountain and whatnot, right?). No noise that I noticed at all, and no one mentioned anything to me, so I wouldn't worry.

fountain?? no that must be the other ceremony site! she's talking about the one that's right smack dab at the entrance of fox hollow, next to the inn. i'm concerned about jericho tpke noise as well. once it gets closer to my wedding date i'm going to see if anyone is using the other outdoor ceremony site, and if not, ask if i can use that one!

Erm, I'm not sure now. Here's a few pics from the ceremony, so you can see what site it was (maybe you will recognize it). It is literally located right across from the entrance to Fox Hollow, but I didn't know there was more than one outdoor ceremony area so we could be talking about different ones. Either way, no noise problems for me!

It will be cozy, but IMO you won't feel too crowded or anything. I know I'm a pic slut today, but here' s a shot of the Bridal Suite with a bunch of people in it so you get the idea (don't forget there are two photogs there, too!). Also, I'm standing right in front of a couch where we piled all our stuff, but obviously that can be used for actual seating, hehe.

Hi there date twin ...

Not sure if you were talking about me booking the bridal suite - but I didn't book the bridal suite, I just booked a king studio. I was just there this past weekend to take a look around, and all the rooms are great. They have studios, which is like any other hotel room you've stayed in most likely (bed and couch in same room), one bedrooms, where the bed is in a corner and there is a little wall with big doors in front of it (not worth the extra money if you ask me, unless you have kids or someone staying on the pull out couch, which I am sure is not the case for us on our wedding night ... ) and the bridal suite ... and the only difference in that room, i think, is that they put a heart on your bed made of rose petals. Maybe you get champagne. I didn't need anything but a nice bed, so I went wiht the studio. But they did tell me that they have 14 bridal suites. I didn't get the option of booking a bridal suite when I did it online - which I assumed meant it wasn't available, which was fine wiht me because I didn't want it anyhow ... but the guy who gave me the tour said that there must be some available, they have 14! I doubt that they ever book all 14, even if brides from the north ritz club and crest hollow come over to stay there ...

ohh those pics are gorgeous!

we ARE talking about the same ceremony location afterall! i thought it was more of a waterfall than a fountain, but i guess i'm remembering it wrong, haha.

that's very reassuring to hear that you didn't notice any traffic noise!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

hey girls,
just wanted to let you know that yesterday I went to both the best western and the executive inn on my lunch break. they are IDENTICAL. Same bedding, same layouts, etc. Both have continental breakfasts. I saw a king room and a room with two double beds at both places, to see the difference. The double bed room was bigger (a bit) but other than that, they are the same. At the executive inn, though, the double bed room has a tub and shower - at the best western, it's only a shower in the double bed room - the king room has both. They both do the shuttle and I think the price is the same at both places. I will be reaching out to jessica to find out.

However -- the best western has a bar and restaurant attached to it. Not owned by the BW. I just think this is what's going to cinch it for me - my wedding ends at 6:30 and I am planning an after party at a bar in downtown huntington, but if some of my guests do not want to attend, i like that there is a bar that they can go to for a drink if they feel having a quiet drink but don't want to go all out.

Just wanted to tell ya!
