Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
me too - totally unnecessary, but i had a vision and went with it.i bought these little tin cans with a clear plexi-glass-esque top which we'll fill with personalized m&m's and affix a label on which will read the table number and the guests name. tied with a bow - not sure if the bow will read anything yet, and done!

I think I am buying those teeny pumpkins and attaching everyone's name to one on a little tag with a piece of raffia. One small way of adding more fall into the look. I just hope the little pumpkins don't cost a lot ... I think they are usually 3/$1 .. and I would need about 100 .. .so $40 or so should cover it. (I am only making one tag per couple)

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Can someone refresh my memory about blocking off rooms at the Inn? I think I read in a letter they sent that I have to book 10 rooms and guarantee 7 of them ... does that mean I have to pay for the other 3 if only 4 get booked???I think I better start asking who is going to stay at the inn and who won't before I reserve a block of rooms.
And how soon can you block the rooms? a year in advance?
TIA.

i just called last week about this, and was very upset that they told me 2 different things the first time i aske them....
i spoke to victor.. he says you have to block 10 rooms, 7 has to get booked.. either way if you dont get those 7 rooms blocked, you have to pay the rest.. even if you release the rooms that were not booked by the date given.. it makes no sense, so we decided not to block there.. we dont want it to fall on us . hope i didnt confuse you

I just got the contract to block rooms at the inn. I blocked 10 rooms between the night of and the night before. You have to guarantee 75% so yes, that means if you only get 3 reserved you will have to pay the extra 4. Also, the rooms are only guaranteed for your guests until one month before check-in time or else the rooms go back into general booking.
....but there's free breakfast

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
so for example... if your guests booked a total of 5 rooms, and you still cant get the other 2 rooms booked...... you can release it , but you still have to pay!!!! and if the cutoff date comes with the other 2 rooms not booked...... you still have to pay!!!

WOW. Then I do not think I will be blocking rooms there unless I know for sure I have at least 10 people staying! About 1/4 of my guests are OOT ... but I do not know if they would stay there. I got a rate of $229, down from $259 or something? If I had to pay for ONE room not being used I'd be pissed!
Is this the case at the Executive Inn too???
