Is this the case at the Executive Inn too???

N OOOOOOOO - not the same thing at the EI...

LOVE jessica there - she's a GEM!!! Just wanted to get this posted & will post the whole deal with them!

Can't wait to hear.

Did anyone look at the Best Western or the Fairfield Inn the other way on Jericho, past Syosset? I really would love to find a place that offers a free breakfast so that I could have my breakfast with everyone there!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Executive Inn Policy -

They room block in groups of 10. They offer a free shuttle to all guests!!!!!!

Here's how it works. My wedding is on January 20th. I have blocked rooms for that weekend & she gave me cards to put in the invites. The 10 rooms have to be filled by December 20th.

When my guests call to reserve, they are told the rate - which is on the card that Jessica gave. They are also told that if the block isn't filled - the rate reverts back to the normal rate. They will be told what rate they will be paying upon check in.

If you fill at least half - or depending on the month, she's more flexible - if i'm at 4 instead of 5...it's okay...you are fine. You do NOT pay the remaining rooms - the rate simply reverts back to regular price.

They offer free breakfast on weekdays and the rooms are very cute! There is no charge for OOT boxes- they will not be put in the rooms - they will be given at check in.

As I said - Jessica is a DOLL! Loved all of my contact with her!

Nice, thanks. I think we are staying at the Inn next door ... maybe not though ... might be easier to stay where most of our guests are staying ... and cheaper ... I just wanted my wedding night hotel stay to be in a really beautiful place -- I am sure the executive inn is nice, though.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

has anyone seen the Best Western in person?

I went to the Executive Inn last week and the rooms were really small. It's set up motel style kinda. the people there are extra nice & the shuttle can't be beat.

not sure if Best Western does Shuttle...

Fairfield in I have been to several times in other states - very standard, clean & always a nice place to stay, but there's no shuttle and it's not as close as the other places.

I didn't feel the rooms were small - I liked the Motel set up - it made it feel kinda like a small village...

I've stayed in a LOT of Best Westerns and they are always lovely...

Don't quote me - but i'd think they would do the shuttle - since they are both run by the same person - Jessica...

This is all true. I wil have to look at the BW and EI soon to decide.

BUT I just looked at the prices of the Inn online ... and you can get a Studio Suite with a AAA for $209. Not a terrible price. I was hearing it was more like $269 - $289 ... and of course the letter I got about the hotel rooms tell you that $229 is the best rate they can give, and that $269 is standard. NOPE! I think I will include the cards from the Inn as a place to stay but say that I've blocked rooms somewhere else. And I think I will stay at the Inn for $209 :) I don't need the bridal suite. But I can get that for $242 or so probably ...

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

For those who are staying at the FHI, do you know what they're policy is on a little congregating in their lounge area after the reception?

I'm having a day reception and by 6pm was hoping i could tow a few loiterers with us across the way for some final wedding day bliss. unless of course we're too pooped by that point

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Few things to add:

1 - Fox Hollow Inn - in the contract it says basically no parties. They seem to have a pretty strict policy. Not sure how late the bar stays open there (do they even have a bar)

2- True, if you block 10 rooms and guarantee 7, you will have to pay for the ones that do not get booked. However, this can also count the night before. For example, my parents are getting a room fri and sat, so that will take 2 of my 7 right there. Off season brides, you can negotiate for only 50% guarantee (that is what I got, so I only need 5 rooms).

3 - There is no shuttle from the Best Western. It is pretty close, but no shuttle service. They told me I would have to make my own arrangements for shuttles there.

4 - The rooms at the Best Western are fine. Definately not glamorous, but fine for the 1 night people are going to stay there. I would tell my family about it but instead, I booked at the Executive Inn since they have the shuttles.

HTH !

The Inn doesn't have a bar. They used to, I think, but my BM told me that they didn't want people going there after a wedding all drunk and partying even more, so they got rid of it. I wish they had something - this way we wouldn't have to go into Huntington to party after our wedding. (It ends at 6:30.)

that does stink that they are strict with partying in the hotel.. they would make a ton of money by having a bar there for after parties..

Reading this thread is making me sad/angry...
I didn't get ANY extras. I thought i got a good deal on the Per person price, but still...
my cocktail hour is an hour... i wanted it to start a half hour earlier b/c i have a large gap between my ceremony and reception but they said no.
i'm a friday bride...

i'm getting sick thinking about all the stuff i'm 'missing out on'

i didn't get any extras either! Is it our date or something?!
