I was thinking about checking out Douglaston MANOR for my reception my wedding party is small about 60 people and i am on a tight budget. Should i check it out?
Thanks
I would suggest checking out DM! They are very resonably priced! And I think there's a room you could use for a smaller party! Good luck and let us know if you decide to look further into it!

Happy Hump Day my lovely DM brides.I have a quick question for you girls. Which soup sip did you choose and are there any MUST HAVES that I should chose for my cocktail hour because your guests raved about them???
Thanks girls!!

Re: ~OFFICIAL DOUGLASTON MANOR THREAD~
Does anyone know if the DM puts bottles of wine on the tables and if that is included or is it extra? I know a lot of RH put a bottle of red & white on each table, but I forgot to ask about that when we signed the contract? Thanks !

If you have an open bar all night, I believe they should be included. And yes, they will provide a bottle of red and a bottle of white on each table. And if one happens to run out, they'll supply another! :)

I put the DJ in the cross area of the T (let me know if that makes sense.) Sorry, I don't have any pictures of that. We ended up having 105 guests.

Perfect sense. As of right now, I'm having 170 guest and I'm so afraid of the spacing. Might be too tight for all my guest.

which tables are you planning on? right now i'm at 150 and was planning on the round, but now i'm thinking oval might leave a little more space.

i think you will be fine...i stopped by the other night to take some measurements and they had the ovals set up for 180 and it wasn't tight. i was having the same concerns bc we started with 120 and now we are up to 150, but since i saw it set up for 180 i've been fine.

I went to the Bridal Showcase last year at the DM. We had just signed our contract a week or two before so we were excited to be able to try a few of their dishes, the cake, etc. It is served buffet style, so it wasn't as good as what we received at the actual wedding.
In terms of the room setup, the 'T' room is filled with vendors ranging from florists, to limos, travel agents etc. so it won't be set up in the typical wedding fashion. They'll serve the food in the restaurant into the glass room.
Hope it goes well for you ladies!
