Didn't you just have your wedding? Sounds like you just had your taste test. Confused.

I guess I only read the part about the food and missed where you said, 'My Wedding'. Sounded as if you just went for the tasting and I saw your wedding date passed already. OK. Got it now.
Waiting for your review if you didn't do it yet. My wedding is at DM on May 29, 2010. So excited. I love these reviews.
Also, how do you change the status under your screenname? Mine still says, Wedding Newbie. I see that people personalize them and I feel like a dope because I can't find how to change that ANYWHERE!
BTW, major congratulations!

Re: ~OFFICIAL DOUGLASTON MANOR THREAD~
I have a question for brides who've already had their weddings at the Douglaston manor. If you had the Grand Ballroom/T Room, where did you put the DJ? That is, not considering the balcony upstairs.

My DJ was in the space right where the T starts from the grand ballroom.

My DJ was in the space right where the T starts from the grand ballroom.
That area looked too small and right up into the guests for the DJ but I guess if you don't put as many tables in that spot. I've heard they can also put the DJ by the bar area in the Grand Ballroom, not the back by the T room, where the door is to go outside. I'd really have to take another look.
I'd hate to have the DJ speakers booming right onto tables. I wonder if they space out the speakers somewhat like a surround sound? I am actually meeting Steve from Imagine Entertainment tonight who manages the DJ's for Ariana Studios/Wedding Plaza. I did the complete package with Doug Manor and Ariana Studios only I am using the house florist and hired Amanda Picone for my photography. So, we shall see what he has to say tonight.

There's a storage area? The top of the T would be the area where the sweetheart table is usually set up?

yes right behind where it is usually setup . You can setup to the right or left of it with no problem or in the middle of the T . I personally did not have sweetheart table i thought it would be a waste of potential dance space

we are not a fan of sweetheart tables, we sat with our closest friends. 90 percent of my friends that have got married sat with close friends as well and x the sweetheart table. ... its a lot more fun to enjoy dinner ......when u have a sweetheart table geusts feel welcome to come up to you and brides and grrom end up not eating IMO
pic below of dj setu pin stoarge area , totally maximizes dance space highly reccomend for large parties in that room!
