Re: ***Official Leonards of Great Neck Thread***
Actually, I haven't had a problem with Gina yet. She was very good with responding to me in a timely manner. I ordered my invitations with her, which I love!!! When I told her what my theme and vision was for my wedding, she went straight to one of her many books and picked it out for me. Waiting for the initial one now.Initially, my perspective was that a bridal planner will accompany you to see certain vendors, etc. Her sole purpose is to assist you when choosing vendors, keep you on a timely schedule, refer you to other vendors, etc.
Tada! Then, comes the catch! She wants you to choose her to be your DOC-for a fee! That is solely up to you to choose Bleu Diamond Events! But hey, the best price for me is---FREE!!! LOL
She just moved to another location.

The food was really good. They had the room (Holiday and Perisian) set up like a normal cocktail hour. We sampled the cocktail hour food. I liked 95% of the things I tasted. The next day I met with Ian for my final run through and asked about the tasting for the main dishes. He informed me that Leonards doesn't do tasting of main dishes. And I asked about the cake and the free cake is either choice 12 or 13 from the cake book.

I asked Maurizio this recently, and he said they don't do cake tasting. But the flavor choices are pretty straightforward.

Has anyone had the chance to pick out their linens yet? I was wondering if they have other colors or is it just the floral white fabric I always see?

I was wondering the same thing
I'm not even sure if we have a choice of linens. All the pictures I've seen all have white linens....

I've booked our hotel block
Another thing off the list!. I'm not particularly happy with the hotel. We blocked rooms at the Ramada / Adria Hotel and Conference Center. It's about 3 miles from Leonard's on Northern Blvd. We went to look at the place and it looks a bit shabby and dated. Unfortinately, we need an affordable place close to Leonard's and that was the best we could come up with.

There are two linens. One is a little thinner I think. They gave me the nicer ones for free though. Im not sure how much it would have cost though.

Why would you have to pay for linens? They should be included in the price, no??
