Re: OFFICIAL WORKOUT LOG OF 2006!
Sunday 1/1 - 45 minutes of Precor. I was sick all weekend so this was pure torture - I usually do 50 minutes but was feeling SO sickly I had to stop. I took yesterday off cause I was feeling so sick, but will start up again today. I plan to do 50 minutes later today plus if I am feeling up to it 15 minutes of squats, leg lifts, etc.....

Re: OFFICIAL WORKOUT LOG OF 2006!
I go to the gym 3X or 4X per week. I do cardio two days, and two days I do some cardio plus weights (my heart rate usually stays up during the weights). I go to a NYSC near my job in the AM and work out, then shower and go to work.I would like to do 4X to 5X per week this year.

Re: OFFICIAL WORKOUT LOG OF 2006!
Will go to gym 3-4 times a week. 45 min of cardio and 45 min of strength training. I also do yoga 1-2 times a week. Have to lose about 20-25 lbs

Re: OFFICIAL WORKOUT LOG OF 2006!
Last night I did 50 minutes of Precor elliptical - increasing the incline every 3 minutes (then decreasing it and going backwards). 11000 strides, 625+ calories.FH worked out with me for the first time! He used to work out ALL the time before we got really serious (and became couch potatoes) - so hopefully we can motivate each other to stay at it

Re: OFFICIAL WORKOUT LOG OF 2006!
Okay, this is so lame but...We got our daughter one of those dance mats that you hook up to a video game system for chirstmas. They have this program where you do all the dances and they count calories for you and tell you the equivalent of how many miles you've jogged. So I have been 'playing' for about a half hour every other day.
Gosh, I am such a geek.

Brod,
What kind of foot injury was it? You can still do exercises that do not involve your foot so you wouldn't need to wait until March (with your trainer) to start exercisingYou can do things on your own to at least get your body accustomed to some kind of muscular activity.
Happy new year!
I bruised two bones - fractured another and pulled the two tendons that run along both sides of my foot. The injury was on July 4th. I was a soft cast first with crtuches. Then I moved on to a brace, but when that did not help me enough my doctor put in a walking cast. I came out of the walking cast in October. Up until now I could hardly do any aerobics.
I tried to keep up with weight training, but I just was not motivated because I was in pain all the time. Now I can at least use the ellipitcal trainer.
I met with the personal trainer yesterday and he did tell me that I don't need to wait until March.
Sorry for the long response, and thanks for the advice.

it's great that you are weight training! But I just wanted to give you a little advice, if tyou don't mind.
30 reps to WAY too much! you are wasting time, and I don't want that to happen.
use a higher weight, and do at most 12 reps per set, you will see amazing results, really fast.
what are your fitness goals?
