Re: OFFICIAL WORKOUT LOG OF 2006!
I am very happy - I took my measurements again after working out for about a month and I lost 1 inch in my waist and butt (FH told me I better not lose any more butt
). I was actually happy with my waist to start - but I am SO excited about my progress. I have only lost about 3 lbs.Yesterday I did 50 minutes on Precor. Today will be 40 minutes Precor, and some squats, leg lifts, etc.

just as a tip, you should do you weights before your cardio, especially if you are training legs.

I am taking a break today from cardio because my foot is hurting - sticking to just upper body weight workout.

I have the older video tapes. It's called 'Advanced Training' My SIL and I do it together which makes it fun, the workout itself is very fast paced but I like it alot better than your regular aerobics stuff. I also like that you can do it at home.

Re: OFFICIAL WORKOUT LOG OF 2006!
I missed my workout yesterday
I really need to step it up to get to 5 days a week - I am stuck at 4 days. Tonight FH is working out with me - so that helps motivate.

Re: OFFICIAL WORKOUT LOG OF 2006!
I just did my one-hour advanced Tae Bo and I feel so good - if I can just keep it up I'll be able to lose the 5-7 lbs that I need to.

Re: OFFICIAL WORKOUT LOG OF 2006!
My FH got me the Buff Brides book for Christmas, and it is a 6 month workout. Since tommorrow is 8 months I figured I would start tonight, and that gives me 2 extra months of making sure I get my butt (and the rest of me
) in shape! Today: Chest Press 5lbs, 12 reps, 1 set
Dumbell Rows 3lbs, 12 reps, 1 set
Dumbell Lunges 3 lbs 8 reps, 2 sets
Dumbell Curls 3 lbs 12 reps, 1 set
Dumbell Step-Ups 3 lbs 12 reps 2 sets
Tricep Kickbacks 3 lbs 8 reps, 1 set
Alternating Front Raises 3 lbs, 12 reps 1 set
Butt lifts with exercise ball 12 reps 2 sets
Raised leg crunches with ex. ball 15 reps, 3 sets
Superbrides 12 reps, 1 set
Dumbell Side Bends 3 lbs, 12 reps, 2 sets
Followed by a hot shower that didn't stop a single muscle from aching!!
Hopefully enough of this, combined with eating right will counter all the Taco Bell/McDonalds/Wendy's damage I've been doing lately!!
Luckily for my dress I only need to worry about toning, but for the honeymoon - I need the full package to be fixed up!

Re: OFFICIAL WORKOUT LOG OF 2006!
To answer some questions, Superbride is:'Lie face down on an excercise mat or carpet. Extend your legs toes pointed. Extend your arms over your head. Look forward keeping your head steady, your chin off the ground' Basically how SuperMan flies. 'Slowly raise your left arm and right leg at the same time until they are a few inches off the ground. Slowly lower to starting position. Repeat with your right arm and left leg.'
It is MUCH harder than it looks!!
Beginner 12-15 reps, 1 set
Intermediate/Advanced 12-15 reps, 2-3 sets

Re: OFFICIAL WORKOUT LOG OF 2006!
Hey All: I just saw your thread and think it's great! I really have to start working out ASAP for my Aug 06 wedding. I have dropped one pants size since I got engaged in June but only from eating better but now I really need to start working out. I am not very motivated so I think reporting my workouts on your thread would help to motivate me. I just always am making excuses because I work full time, got to graduate school full time, and have been going crazy planning every detail of the wedding.I was thinking of actually doing the Buff Brides program at NYSC when the time gets closer. Are any of you doing it or have your heard any positive or negative things about the program.
Anyway, I would love to join your slim down thread. Also I not very knowledgeable about working out so if anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them.

Re: OFFICIAL WORKOUT LOG OF 2006!
yesterday was 30 minutes on elliptical..it says I burned 240 calories.20 minutes of abs. 10 min stretch.
Going again today to do legs and abs. will probably put in about 10 minutes of cardio just because.
I shoveled snow for 1.5 hours on Saturday/Sunday...I didn't know I had those muscles!
