Re: OFFICIAL WORKOUT LOG OF 2006!
I just started going again after stopping for the holidays and stuff. I've just been doing about 45 minutes of cardio. I alternate between bike, treadmill or the eliptical. I tried a class and i thought I was going to pass out...I guess I have to graduate to that level.

yesterday..went at night to do legs, didall 8 leg machines,i do 3 sets of 30 on most of them...tonight i go to do cardio and arms![]()
![]()
it's great that you are weight training! But I just wanted to give you a little advice, if tyou don't mind.![]()
30 reps to WAY too much! you are wasting time, and I don't want that to happen.
use a higher weight, and do at most 12 reps per set, you will see amazing results, really fast.
what are your fitness goals?
wow, thanks for the advice, my trainer in the past always said to do low weight and high reps to tone my legs without getting too big.. a few years ago i was doing a high weight andlower reps andmylegs got musclular but bigger, i am jsut tryin to tone them up. but maybe ill try the lower rep like you said... my fitness goals are to loose weight( by doing cardio) and toning everywhere
thanks

Re: OFFICIAL WORKOUT LOG OF 2006!
No time for an official workout - BUT - I did work all day at my saturday job - I supervise a social skills program for kids with autism between the ages of 4-20 - all in different groups - on a huge campus - so I run everywhere, and I teach 2 dance classes for them - 1 for the older kids, 1 for the younger kids - so I have to say all in all - that is my workout...

Re: OFFICIAL WORKOUT LOG OF 2006!
Last week, I was happy with my workouts. Though it may not seem like much to many of you, I managed to fit in more than I have done in a long time. Here it is:Monday--1/2--Went to the gym--cardio for 40 minutes, weights for half an hour (don't remember what I did now, though it's usually two kinds of leg exerecises, and four kinds for arms.
Tuesday--35 minutes cardio. I ran a BAD 3 miles, but I did run (well, jog) the whole time.
Thursday--45 minute morning walk with husband (especially nice since I was working VERY late that day, and we would have spent no time together otherwise)
Saturday--30 minutes weights, 1 hr. walking
I would have liked to do one more day, but this was the best I could fit in last week. It was a very busy week, so I'm proud of this. Also, on the days I did not work out, I tried to walk more. I have meetings at another location which are a 20 minute walk from my location. If the weather is good, I'll try to walk it rather than take the bus.

I can finally post my workout because I started up again today!I did two sets of 10 tricep dips, one set of 12 over-the-head tricep exercise with a 7-lb weight, and two sets of bicep curls with a 7-1b weight.
30 mins of elliptical runner
2 sets of 60 crunches (not a lot, but I'm starting slow).
I'm so proud of myself!

Re: OFFICIAL WORKOUT LOG OF 2006!
Hey ladies - today was such a gorgeous day, I decided not to go to kickboxing tonight, which would have been 60 mins, and instead did a 1.5 INTENSIVE hike - it was glorious, and it kicked my butt!!! I didn't stop for a too long - just for sips of water or to admire a beautiful view - but otherwise - I was booking it, and because it was such uneven terrain, there were lots of climbs that I felt all the way into my glutes...I feel awesome!
I also managed to wake up with FH this AM - we did crunches and push ups together....

30 minutes on the cross trainer and also did adductors, abductors and leg press, but now my foot is slightly swollen and in pain - will this ever end - oh well, off to get some ice and Advil.
