Re: Thatched cottage thread

I haven't decided about the veil thing yet. At first I thought I'd take it off for the reception, but in looking at other people's pictures, I love them with the veil on. For some reason, I just can't make my mind up yet.

My vendors are:

Flowers: Burtons
DJ: FM
Limos/Shuttle Bus: ?
Photog/video: A Beautiful Day(Jessica Bridal)

That's really it so far....I've gotta get moving on the other stuff....

Re: Thatched cottage thread

In Hawaii we're going to

Oahu (Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach)
Kauai (Grand Hyatt)
Maui (Hyatt Regency)

We're basically doing the same trip we did last year but are staying longer and have upgraded all our rooms to oceanview.

Re: Thatched cottage thread

IS SOMEONE MESSING WITH US??? Why do they keep deleting our threads?

I plan to wear my veil the entire time. At first I didn't even want to wear a veil at all and then when i started trying them on with dresses its what made me feel like a BRIDE the most! Like I would try on a dress...and then they would put the veil on me and I would almost start to cry!

Re: Thatched cottage thread

i am using michael o'neill for photog, he is one of their recommended vendors - but he is expensive - but photog was like the most important thing to be besides the RH

i am using:

Flowers - Florisan (vendor on here - sweet as can be)

Video - Halo Video (i have seen nice work from them - but we are just getting the basics for a really great price)

Limo - none, but we are thinking about a Trolley now

Hair/Makeup - Gorgeous Faces - (vendors on here - I love them!)

DJ - FM Entertainment

Officiant - pastor April - I love her too! she is a sweetheart and just knows how to make things sound amazing

Re: Thatched cottage thread

I am using Jack from A Beautiful Day (used to be Jessica Bridal) for photo and video. He has done three of our friends weddings and I really like his work. He's also very easy to work with so far. He put together a good package for us. I don't know what his prices would be since I think I read that you don't need albums from him...but you should check it out. He's a vendor on here and his office is in West Babylon.

My favorite thing is that when we met with him, he showed us pctures he has taken at weddings at TC - so it was really nice to see.

I found most of my vendors through LIW. My officiant was recommended by TC.

Re: Thatched cottage thread

I am not sure if this topic was covered and I missed it, but does anyone have any idea what they are doing for a RD?

Re: Thatched cottage thread

I have no idea what we're doing for the RD. FH's parents haven't offered a dime towards the wedding, so I guess it's up to the 2 of us to pay for it. My mother said she would do something small at her house, but I don't know if I want that the night before the wedding when I'm staying there that night...and I feel like my mom is already doing enough (she's hosting a small brunch at her house the day after.)

I'm trying to think of a cheap place to have it at. I'm a little nervous though because everyone is telling me I have to have the OOT guests, and like 75% of my wedding is OOT!!! Even if I just limit it to OOT family, it's huge.
