Re: Thatched cottage thread
Jessica (tgrlily339) - did you talk to TC about possibly changing your date? I was just wondering how things worked out for you.

We have an appointment this week
Keep your fingers crossed all goes well. We really don't want to change our date...but its more to see what our options are at this point. One minute we think we might be able to scrape by the next it seems impossible, so I dont know whats going to happen
Thanks for thinking of me though!

Re: Thatched cottage thread
Spoke to Thatched today---you can choose white or ivory for menus/placecards but if you want white you have to let them know at final meeting....otherwise they'll be ivory. Is everyone using those or are you getting custom menus/placecards?

Re: Thatched cottage thread
I'm going to use their menus/placecards. I would rather put the extra $$ into something else for the wedding or HM.

Re: Thatched cottage thread
I agree, no one really cares what the menus or place cards look like (except us). I was going to do my own placecards but now that you told me they will do ivory i will let the TC handle. One less thign I have to do.
YIPPIEEEi have 2 and 1/2 months to go and i am starting to get nervous that i am going to forget to do something!

Re: Thatched cottage thread
Hey girls ,Posted on the thatched expo board too.. but Just thought Id let you know I had my meeting and I am still an 09 bride!! Things went really well... andre is a SWEETHEART!!! As we were sitting waiting to see him I was getting all upset and tearing I just couldnt take it lol. Couldnt change much but got A LOT of great advice on things to do and what our options were and I just dont think moving the day is worth it in the long run. Had only one minor dilemma with my CP's... I have to create a base for them or I cant use them. They said the certain kind of candle holders I bought have been used before and have caused a few people to get burned because they are top heavy and if u bump the table they fall and break easily. I completely understand y they don't want me to use them but they are nice enough to let me try and come up with a solution to still use them which is wonderful, and I think will be very easily solved.
Things to know :
- The renovations look BEAUTIFUL outside!! The brick work is really pretty. They changed the poles to the awning too! Didn't look at the CH room or the BR, there was a sweet 16 going on so I tried to not be noticed.
- Was just discussing tables, and I know someone was concerned with how many people sit at a table, adding tables and what not. They have a few table sizes so you don't have to split up families and stuff when making your tables...and you can mix and match the tables you have in the room .. I 'think' he said there are tables that seat 10, 12, 14 , and 16??
Is anyone one using their photographer (I dont have the sheet in front of me) Micheal Leli? If you can pass on any pricing info that would be GREAT!!!
Thanks for all your kind words throughout this ! We picked a great place!!!

Im soooooooooooooooooooo HAPPY for you!!
I am using Gary Leli and his prices are very reasonable. I am going to get unlimited photos of the day and he will provide me with unlimited amount of printed proofs after the wedding. I did not choose to create an album right away which cut the cost tremendously.
Here is his info: http://leliphotography.com/
FM me if you want more details

Thanks for the updated info about the tables--it's really hard because I want to be able to fig out how many centerpieces I need cuz I think I'm making them but there is no way to predict i guess!
Booked my rehearsal at thatched too! yay!

Re: Thatched cottage thread
Well how many people do you think you are having? I think its all based on 12 tables and then that is split up how ever you want to seat people. I am making my own CP's too and I am basing it on 12 and then what ever extra there might be I figured I could put on the fireplace mantle thing or on the bar.

Re: Thatched cottage thread
so is what your saying that we can have one table with 10 people and another table with 12 or 14 people? This would be great!

Re: Thatched cottage thread
oh okay!! i spoke to someone else on here who had a wedding there and they explained it that you take the # of guests you have and divide by 12 and that determines how many tables you have, so there would be 12 at each.....i was thinking the same thing about extras....

Re: Thatched cottage thread
the number of tables you are entitled to is your guest count divided by twelve - then you choose how many people you want at each table -for instance i have 13 tables (150/12 = 12.5 which rounds up to 13)
- some of my tables will have 14 and some 10 - that is just the way I am setting them up...
you dont have to have 12 at each table, that is just what decides how many tables you are entitled to without charging you extra.

Re: Thatched cottage thread
I remember a while back that they have a strict policy of requiring 12 at a table unless you had an odd number and they would allow you to have less at a few tables... Is this no longer true?Welcome New Vendors
