Re: Thatched cottage thread
Don't worry....until the beginning of March, all I had was the TC, a DJ and a dress....so it definitely is possible!!! Let me know if you have any questions

Re: Thatched cottage thread
I am getting the photo booth and I think we're going to put it in the other room across from the stairs. If we have less people than we are expecting we'll try to squeeze it in the room :)

Re: Thatched cottage thread
ok i went to a wedding this weekend and saw some things at the reception hall that i wasn't thrilled about and wanted to make sure Thatched Cottage didn't do them!First - They didn't have soda on tap, they actually used 1 liter bottles of soda to fill up glasses.
Second - While walking up to the reception the wait staff was walking down the stair with the milk crate like containers to bring all the alcohol and glass from the downstairs bar to the upstairs bar. all the guest had to saw them doing this. thought it was kinda tacky.
Third - This is more FH concern, he doesn't like beer bottles and would prefer the beer to be poured into glasses instead of seeing beer bottles on the tables in pictuers.
Anyone know if thatched cottage does any of this?!

At first I thought you meant you went to a wedding at the TC! lol.
To Answer your questions, I am unsure of the first and second....but for the 3rd ques, the Thatched Cottage has all of their beer on tap, not bottles!! I am not sure if a few are bottles, but they definitely have taps.
LOL believe me, beer is one thing FH is actually concerned about!!

Re: Thatched cottage thread
They definitely have their soda and beer on tap - I remember seeing it being poured.Don't stress over the service at TC - it was impeccable! I wouldn't change a thing about my wedding there.

Re: Thatched cottage thread
What are you doing/did you do to decorate your cake?? At my final meeting he mentioned flowers, or that we could bring in ribbons to put around the cake. Not sure what I should do??I definitely want to do flowers, but should I do ribbons also?

Re: Thatched cottage thread
Hi girls! Just curious - did you just put the direction cards from the TC in your invites?? or did you write your own directions? My church is in Wantagh, and I don't think that the directions they give you are the best from Wantagh.
thanks!

Re: Thatched cottage thread
Any previous TC brides have infants at their wedding?? I have a few people bringing their babies (on is an OOT guest that has no one to watch the baby up here.) Does TC have high chairs and how does it work with the seating chart?!

Re: Thatched cottage thread
Hi everyone!Just a quick question for those planning on getting married outside in the gazebo.
I am getting married at TC May 21st 2011. As far as ceremony flowers go, I wasn't really planning on doing anything extra since it will be Spring and flowers will have bloomed. FH and I are paying for everything ourselves so we have a really tight budget.
But now Im thinking what happens if it rains all day and we have to have the ceremony inside. Just wondering what everyone else was doing and how you were planning for bad weather.
Thanks!!

Re: Thatched cottage thread
if they fit in a high chair they are free, I think it is 2 and under are free as well. Any child older than 2 is considered half price unless you have not met the minimum number your told them then they are full price.Welcome New Vendors
