Either way, I can't wait to just sit on a beach and relax. I can't take all of the emotions and racing thoughts that are always going through my head of things that have to be done. I think that i'm going to go through a depression after the wedding because I won't have anything to plan

I can't wait either. I am so ready to throw the towel. I did get a lot done this weekend though. We only have to get our license, go pick out tux jacket, and maybe make some more programs. I know I must be forgetting something Oh, get our FG and RB a toy

everyone is right on schedule!!!! I am so proud of myself--i'm not even nervous-- i'm just so excited!!! I wonder if JET BLUE does upgrades???? we got our stuff from Disney today--including luggage tags!! yeah!!! LOL I cannot wait!!!! I still need to wrap up the baskets for the girls-and type up the inside of the program (the order of service) tomorrow night I go to NRC for the menu and stuff!! YEAH!!!

I can't believe this!

I also can't believe how much immediate family on both sides isn't coming. It baffles me - after all the weddings, baby showers, etc. I went to and none of them can show up. They claim they can't get babysitters. Its 1-6 and they all live in Long Island. I think I'm taking this one personally!

I went for my fitting last night! They have to take about 7 feet off the hem. I'll try to post pics later. I have to go back 10/18

Wow Jen! How tall are you? (BTW, I'm assuming you mean 7 inches) I'm only 5'1', but they are doing my hem from the waist to save the detail at the bottom. I don't know much they have to take off though. I go next week.

Tonight we are meeting with the DJ. I'm having second thoughts about who we picked. We have extensive, specific music we want played and I have a feeling we're going to have to provide most of it.

Our rings came out great! I'm very excited! But we didn't pick them up. We forgot to have them engraved. Plus I am getting my e-ring re-dipped so it is as vibrant as my wedding band for the day of the wedding.

I meant 7 inches. I'm 5 feet. It's an a-line
dress so they can take it up from the hem.

Tonight we are meeting with the DJ. I'm having second thoughts about who we picked. We have extensive, specific music we want played and I have a feeling we're going to have to provide most of it.

We met with our DJ last night. The last time that we saw him was when we signed the contract back in March '03. He's actually a friend of ours that owns his own DJ company. He DJ'd at FSIL's wedding and another friend of ours. He was really great and I have so much confidence in him that we wanted to just leave the music up to him (except, of course, for the specific dances). I didn't know if it would be insulting him by writing down a million song suggestions, especially since he is a friend. But when he came over, he asked for a suggested song list, and I didn't have it
I felt so bad. Especially since I've been so organized. I even sent everyone in the bridal party a timeline of the day so that they know what to expect. I felt that he should have mentioned what he needed, just as a reminder, over the phone when FH called to make an appt. I'm going to write out all of the songs now and give it to him

I can't wait for my bachelorette party this weekend. We're heading to South Beach!!!!

South Beach! How exciting! MY BP isn't until the 23rd.

I sent my bridal party members a timeline for the day too. They thought I was anal. But wait until its their turn -- they'll understand then too.

When we booked our DJ it was a week after I had to bury my father, so my mind set wasn't there. They were referred by a friend, and people who attended that wedding said they were good. At that point, I was like fine, good, book them and be done with it. I was a little uncomfortable that they wouldn't negotiate price much since we aren't using them for the ceremony or cocktail hour. But their price wasn't bad, so we booked them. We also would have been happier using a DJ that is more technologically advanced -- using computers and MP3s. But again, it was easier at the time just to book them.

We just went to a friends wedding last month who's DJ ran everything from the computer and it was awesome. And their DJ hunted down songs they wanted if he didn't have them, and could show them that 'yes' he had them.

I have a feeling our DJs will say they have stuff -- but might not know for sure since I can't imagine them knowing every song they have on CD. It's not like they can run a search from the computer.

I'm probably stressing for nothing, but it's one of the only decisions that I regret not researching further. Oh well!

I'm sure that if you mention some songs, they will either have the cd or they will get it. I know that our DJ has a ton of cd cases that his has in these crates. He must have ever song ever written. I didn't even think to ask about the computer downloads though. I know that he downloads songs and makes his own cd mixes. Maybe he just does that to play for clients and he uses the computer for the event. I'm sure that he'll do a wonderful job for you and get your party rockin'!!!!

I'm sorry to hear about your dad. i'm sure that he'll be watching over you on be by your side on your big day

FH just sent me a one month pre-anniversary card for tomorrow. He's so cute!

As the wedding approaches, I find myself feeling more in love with him. All weekend as we were busy doing stuff, I'd find myself stopping for a second and really appreciating him and the life we have. Must be the wedding hormones kicking in!

I completely know what you mean. I find myself doing the same thing. I'm just so overwhelemed with emotion and I'm so anxious for us to be married and living together. We've been planning for so long and it's almost here.

this weekend FH really started to get into things... he made phone calls and even started the seating...
we have some more calls to make for people who did not RSVP... we got some more responses yesterday...
we were also surprised at how many people can't make it... I guess with traveling and being on a sunday its tough... we invited around 250 and will probably end up with 165-170 people...

I'm sure you are dissapointed that some people aren't coming, but that's a nice amount of people!

Since yesterday was our RSVP date, I thought we'd get a bunch in the mail. We got one! ONE!

FH made 3 calls last night. I have a few calls to make this week. But the bulk id FH's family.

We invited 215 and we're currently at 135 missing about responses for 25 couples.

There was one table of my mom's work associates that can't make it because there is some type of banquet that is taking place the same night and they are all on some board. They were the only ones that I was surprised at about not coming. We invited 250 and we're having 208. Good thing for that one table!

I am happy with the amt of people we were having... b/c we had some room to add we asked a few people who we didn't origially give a guest (b/c we were inviting so many people) if they wanted to bring someone... some where fine alone but some people were happy to bring a guest... so I am glad that worked out...

I sent out my RD invites... what is everyone working on now? I feel like I am forgettng things...

I'm working on my seating arrangements and place cards. My mom knows how to write in calligraphy so she is going to write them out for me. Tomorrow night, I'm meeting with our florist to view the sample centerpiece. We have to get our marriage license. And we're both off on our bachelor/bachelorette parties this weekend.

my bach party is the 23rd... I am going to my LI shower during the day and then we are going out at night... not sure what we are doing yet... one of my BM mentioned going into the city....I told them I am not into all that stripe club stuff...hopefully they listen...
I am thinking that FH bach party will be that weekend too...I mentioned to some of the guys that I will not be around that weekend so who knows... I just hope we both have a fun time hanging out with old friends...
