Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread
I'm doing the mendhi on Friday, but very little, not too much. Also, booked the honeymoon through Liberty Travel. They were great to deal with, threw in a lot of extras and got us a great deal, you should check them out.

I used the Liberty Travel in Midtown Manhattan since it was easy to go on lunch and get everything done, here is her info:Cory Kallio

Tell her that Nancy sent you, the one she booked Hawaii with, and she will hook you up.

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread
I know we wait in the room upstairs or something while the baraat is going on, but wow, I did not know it was that long. I'll probably fall asleep as well. So by the time the ceremony even starts it will be like 11 or so right?? Wow, that makes for a long morning.Ok so I guess breakfast and lunch are the norm. Not like i'll be eating anything, gonna still be too nervous.

I'll call Cory and speak to her.. the problem is that the rates for Europe did not come out yet.. and it;s holding us back..Did anyone or is anyone doing program booklets? I saw this really awesome right but they are asking about $700 bucks for 300 programs.. is that the norm? I was thinking DIY but it's such a long and tedious process.. I know I'm so lazy..

It is not that hard to make programs, I think it is not worth to spend that money.

Well, my girls are planning my mendhi party. i would estimate about 25 girls. I think the party is on a thurs. night. I would probably do it on Friday. My wedding is on Saturday.
or should i just get it done on thurs? I am not a big fan of mendhi. the smell turns my stomach. Will my hands and feet be stinky on saturday? or should i do it on thursday...ughh i confuse myself alot lately. FH is irratated with me![]()
Do it Thursday.. so the colors will set!![]()
definitely do it thursday! the colors will set, plus you'll be up almost all night trying to sleep with your hands face up and your feet planted on the floor and you'll also be freezing since u can;t really put a blanket over you ( i know, i make it sound like so much fun don't I?) i'm not a fan of mehndi either!

yeah, i made my own programs. bought cardstock from staples and had some print them. it cost like 200 for 75 programs and they were soo pretty, i'll try to find a pic.
