Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread
Hey girls - why don't we post pics of hair and make up that we like or are thinking of doing. Indian hair/make up is different (probably heavier) than american bridal make up so it may be a good idea to get it out there - I'll startughh - how come i can't attach an image even if its in jpeg format

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread
i don't know if i should opt for an updo for a 1/2 up 1/2 down style for the reception..for my engagement, i did a 1/2up 1/2 down.. for the henna and post wedding stuff.. it'll be 1/2 and 1/2.. my mom swears i look 'older' when i put my hair up.. so she's egging me on for 1/2 and 1/2..
decisions.. why can't i just be told.. this is it!!!

I'm trying to do something different for all the functions - you should try something different if you want so you can get different pictures too.

Heyyyyyy Girls, I'M BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I actually got back a few days ago but didn't get internet service at home until yesterday and have been soo busy with everything. I still have to write a review but long story short, all the vendors I had were EXCELLENT !!!! They all went out of their way to make the day beautiful.
I don't have any pictures yet but everybody had a blast!!!!!
About 20-25 of my guests who replied yes didn't show but oh well, it was their loss because I can;t even begin to tell how fantastic of a job Floral Terrace did in making the guests happy and DRUNK all night, lol.
Duval was great so for those of you out there who want to use them, they are great!!
Also, DJ Sharad is a little pricey but well well worth it, he brought extra lights that were like $200 each and he brought like 6 extra and the music people loved all night, he mixed the music based on the crowd on the dance floor, it was great.
I will be back on soon for a review but gotta go make dinner now. Wifey duties have begun, lol !!!!!

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread
Wow, such a small world. Yeah I figured I should put up a review since all the vendors were great. Yeah, Prateek has known my husband since like 4th grade. They grew up together. That's so funny that he's your cousin, really is a small world. Did he say he liked it?? Did he have fun??But yeah, all went smooth except for normal family time delays, everything else went good. Prateek probably took pictures, but I still gotta scan mine to post.

woah really? he's known him that long?? u know what was so funny? i was telling prateek how much i had liked terrace on the park when i was looking at rh's. on the way to your wedding, he was like :hey jagu, was that place u liked called floral terrace?' and i said no and we hung up. the next day, he came over to my place and was telling me that he went to a wedding there and i was like 'um. what was the bride's name?' and he said nancy. i was like :hey, i know her' even though i really dont and then i had to tell him about the site and he thought i was crazy
how was hawaii???? did u tan nice?

my experince with Duval was ok. I had a lot of issues with the guy that came to my place to take pics. I posted earlier about his he was unprofessional. We got 1500 pics and there was about 40 of me and my husband thats it! I have not started on the video yet. the pics were great just wished i had some more of just us. ill post some pics in a bit.
