What are you guys doing for the limos? I just got a quote for $1000 for two limos dropping me (and bms) and FH (and gm) to the hall and then one limo picking us up from the hall to the hotel at the end of the night.

Is that reasonable

Im still confused as to what to do about limo. My parents say that FH family should be taking care of the limo. I dont think I'll be going to the hall in a limo, since I will be getting there an hour early for pictures. I was telling FH to book a limo to go from hall to hotel, but I dont know if his family will want to do that...

pthapar, i think your rate is resonable

i'm using a limo for 2 days.. no drop off anything rather pick up after the wedding and then the next day, we have another ceremony, to bring my guests to his house and then take them from my house to the hotel.. and on the day of shuttle service from the hotel to the hall.. and came out to a little more than that..

Dulhan, if your inlaws are adamant about no limo fine, but I think a rolls royce to take you guys from the hall to the hotel would be great and make great pics as well.. try talking to regal limos, the guy charges you about $250.. worse case, you book it, and keep it on the dl..

thanks AR31! I'll check them out. whats their website?

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread

Hi Ladies!

Has anyone tried Glitter Mehndi? I'm allergic to henna paste .

Ideally, I'd like it to last for 2 days for the Hindu and Islamic wedding....and then remove it for the reception (which is the next day). If that's even possible.

Does anyone know of any vendors that actually can do it?

PS...did anyone go to Dulhan Expo show Sunday? I went...I did't get much out of it though.

Congrats GT......your big day is a mere few days away!!! I'm so excited for you

I was talking to my mom about the father/daughter dance and she wants an indian song. She mentioned two of them

Mere Ghar Aayee Ek Nanhi Pari - song from Hindi movie/album Kabhi Kabhi

O meri Laadli - song from hindi movie/album Dil Ek Mandir

These songs are from the 60s.

Hope this helps

is it just me or do those lyrics not seem completely appropriate for the father/daughter dance?

Is it for the first dance with your husband?

This song is a parent singing about the daughter. Now that i read the lyrics, its more a celebration for a daughter.

Were you able to get the other song?

Have you gone to house of dipali on Hillside?

Call them

Or you can call Unique Emporium/Stylish Events. They do flowers and mandaps so they might be able to help you
