My reception is a Saturday evening and it begins at 6:30 so I imagine they want to straighten up the bridal suite for the next bride coming in. I would have your relatives change in the restrooms at the WM, or have them use the bridal suite a little before 6pm.
I agree with takeoutcook (my date twin!!!) since the restrooms are fairly large at the WM, it would be a good idea to see if your relatives can change there - or if not, just have them do it a little earlier, while the guests are all leaving/saying goodbye.
Or, maybe the WM has another room separate from the bridal suite that your relatives can change in? You could always ask them about this - I'm sure you aren't the first bride to have this kind of situation!

Another question to the past WM brides who got married during the day...
How long after the reception did you actually get to stay in the bridal suite?
My reception is until 6pm, and they told me I will have the bridal suite until...um, 6pm. It's not that I'm planning to stay until 7pm or anything, but some of my family members coming from the city want to change before leaving (I probably will want to change also). Do you think there will be time for that, or are they going to literally kick us out? We will also need some time for giving out tips and stuff I assume...
This may sound dumb, but are you absolutely certain your reception ends at 6pm? I have a 12:30 start just like you - that is for our cocktail hour. Our reception ends at 5:30pm. Maybe you added an extra 1/2 hour to the cocktail hour?

Maybe they have a different schedule for winter? I'm not sure... But I know that my ceremony starts at 12:30, cocktail hour at 1pm and reception from 2pm until 6pm.Anyway I guess it's best to tell them they might need to change in the bathroom. Hopefully it won't be so bad!

Oh, I see what the difference is - we are not having the ceremony at the WM, so that is why there is a time difference. Well, either way, I think everything will work out just fine! You could always play it by ear and see what is more convenient the day of.

Does anyone know if the Westbury Manor has outdoor space heaters? You know those tall space heater things that kinda look like lamps - you see them a lot in outdoor patio restaurants and bars.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
I am now getting a little nervous. when I booked WM, I was told the Garden Room is slated for fitting 175 people, but it fits about 140-150 comfortably.I am hoping to be under 140, but we are probably going to end up inviting about 160....I know it probably won't happen, but WHAT IF EVERYONE says YES!!!
I really don't one of the strongest memories of my wedding to be linked to a sardine can!

When I spoke with some bands they informed me that with their setup in the Garden Room...(utilizing ever table they could for a large crowd) some guests were sitting right next to the speakers.

I was told 145. I have 165 on the invite list, but I am sure that some are not coming. Hopefully we won't add anymore people.

When I was looking at WM they told me the Garden Room was like 120/125 MAX.Since we knew we'd be border line - we had to go to the Manor Room.
When I spoke with some bands they informed me that with their setup in the Garden Room...(utilizing ever table they could for a large crowd) some guests were sitting right next to the speakers.
being a guest in the garden room just last month I can confirm max comfortably is 125 and thats pushing it and with the band forget it, those table were right up against them and squashed. and as for the chocolate fountain there is no way I can see that fitting in that room without it being complete havick- I would ask them to set it up in the conservatory room - or right outside the room - it is huge.

I don't know why they tell people they can fit 175 ppl in the garden room - maybe standing but definitely NOT sitting! I had 130-135 people show up at my wedding and one side of the room was TIGHT!!! I couldn't walk between the tables to greet all my guests, I had to wave from the end of the table!

Ok...another person here...We were told the following (when we booked):
Garden Room: 110 Min - 150 Max
Manor Room: 150 Min
We knew we couldn't afford the 150 min, so dropped that right away. We're inviting 135 and expecting some no's... So we're hoping to hit just a bit over the min.
We were told the following by the Perfect Wedding Planner florist (The old in-house florist):
Same as above AND the room is cramped over 120.

we are having the garden room, but I am glad we had a lot of nos! So, we should have 110 right now, which I guess would be nice in there :)

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
I got the following room capacity info from the WM web site under the 'corporate events' section....Manor Room 4267 Sq F. 364 448
Garden Room 1928 Sq F. 164 206
Hill Room 1698 Sq F. 136 164
Executive Room 1110 Sq F. 70 84
The first number listed after the square footage is with dancing. The second number is the max without dancing.
I think these numbers imply the ABSOLUTE max, however, it looks like we will all be ok in the Garden Room!
Is any one like me having their cocktail hour in the Executive Room (upstairs)??? I am nervous seeing the room capacity now - if 115 guests will fit. They orginally put us in the polo room (the bar room downstairs) - but we decided to change because we wanted a more open/airy room. IMO, I didn't want our guests to feel like they were in a 'bar' for our cocktail hour.
Any thoughts? Thanks girls!

I think the executive room is def fine for 115 guest. and def for the garden room. I just feel bad for the girls that have over 120 guest for the garden room as their reception. when we booked WM and saw the rooms we saw the garden room empty and even empty with visualizing tables and looking at the dance floor that for over 125 people way too small. and a band- no way and I was just at a firemans inauguration dinner may 14th in the garden room and we couldnt move so I asked how many people were in here they said around 150, let me just tell you it was the most uncomfortable feeling you couldnt move anywhere especially when people were dancing or when they were serving dinner what a nightmare, we spent most of the time outside by ourselves for air! and the band took up so much room those poor tables in the corner were blasted by the speakers and what a hassle to get around all of the wires for the mikes, amps, speakers, keyboard etc.
