Hi everyone. I got engaged in May and now we are booked for WM. Love it!! Can you guys please let me know a good DJ reccomendation? Thats the only vendor I am not certain about? DJ's are so important and I want to be sure before I book anyone. Thanks:)
We booked Body Rock DJ's - which was a recommendation by the WM. I have heard nothing but great things about them. Many of my friends have used them in the past. They are very reasonable too in price and are located right near the WM, which is great. FM me if you need any additional information.

That's good to hear! I know I could never get passed the rude, cocky, arrogance anytime I would see them at a bridal show. FH refused to even give them a second chance. My friend got the same treatment from them too....I guess they should make sure nicer guys are at these shows. If they were...we might have even gone with them on their reputation alone. It's a shame...
ETA: damn spelling errors!

We booked Bravura for our ceremony music and for DJ/MC. We added on a basic light package - they are not house vendors though.

Hi we used Ultrasound Entertainment, they are not a vendor of WM, other girls have used them on here and my friends have too- they were great!!! My stepsister used body rock when she got married at the fox hollow- and we refused to go with them because of there attitude! They were so freakin rude. But they did play good music!

What do you mean they were rude? How so? The guy we met with was so nice! And, believe me, if they were rude to me, I never would have considered them. What happened at your step sisters wedding? I'd like to hear so I can be cautious of whatever happened! Thanks.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
At the wedding not at signing- the MC was extremely RUDE- by his comments, gestures. And the best part is - he is the main guy or owner- I cant remember his name- I will call her and find out- it may be Anthony not sure-dont hold me to it, he was sooooooo full of himself too. Even at the a bridal showcase I went to at the marriot last year- ugh he was there with another guy and just trashed other DJ's and how I should only go with them. They did play good music and despite his attitude- we had a good time and danced all night-

I am also using Body Rock. They are the BEST DJ I have ever heard. My sister used them and 3 of our friends used/ are using them. I hear nothing but GREAT things about them. They really know how to get the party going and stay going!!!!!

What kind of 'gestures' did he make?? I want to make sure that there will be none of that at my wedding!
P.S. Your cake is beautiful! The WM provided it correct? Did you pay extra??

Search through the other pages on this thread. Myself and other brides have posted pics from our wedding day with the room, cocktail hour, etc...

Hi thank you I dont know why it keeps coming up twice- 1 pic is suppose to be of the room, oh well, the cake was provided from WM but they refused to decorate it- so my florist did and Im glad- there have been some past posts about them decorating cakes that werent good, so right off the bat I had Pedestals do it.
Body Rock- it was his personality- I dont think he can change that- I am waiting for my stepsister to call me back with his name- when he was MC'ing the tone, rolls of eyes, obvious to guest that a lot of guests made comments- we actually heard him at a 50th bday party and they were really good and so she said ooo Im gonna book him but after that performance NONE of us used them , (there are 6 of us I am the 5th to get married in a 4 year period- we've been busy, lol). they played good music and for the most part everyone was dancing until he tried to show up some of the guests when they were dancing!!!- and asked one of the guests that came with someone out on a date! and then he changed his tune oh no we are looking for dancers and I liked the way she danced and asked if she wanted to work for me- which was a lie- I can only speak of them from experience BUT I am sure there are more than 1 DJ/MC- remember it was the MC not the DJ that was bad. The DJ played good music- not too worry there. But its the MC that interacts with the guest! ahh she called me back while on writing this, she said its the owner, she knew that for sure, she was going to ask her DH for his name and call me back.

Thanks so much for the info. I am not getting an MC - just a DJ - so maybe I don't even need to worry. I'll just make sure its not this guy!

I am three weeks from today!! I don't post too often on this, but i wanted to let you all know that it has been SO helpful reading this thread!! I also have a question for those of you with an early reception, or those who just have an opinion..... We are staying at the Fox Hollow that night w/ a few oot guests and want to have a few drinks with the rest of the BP and whoever wants to join... Do you think it is a good idea to have a few drinks next door at the bar in the restaurant? Thanks in advance

If u want to have a few drinks with bp and friends after the wedding going to the bar in the restaurant sounds good. You will all be close to your rooms and there is no traveling involved. I'm staying at Fox Hollow the night of my wedding also, but my guests are staying at Wingate.
You are soooo close! Are you all finished with everything??
